The notary part 😂 painfully accurate. When we set up through a UAE free zone it was days, documented timelines, no drama. Europe has a speed problem
US LLC / C-Corp: - Stripe Atlas refunds the $500 fee + pays you $1,000-$1,500 just to open the bank account - Slash / Ramp gives you unlimited virtual cards with 2% cashback on all your SaaS & ads + ~4% yield on idle cash - Chase / Amex business cards hand you $1,000+ sign-up bonuses and free hotels just for paying your normal server bills - $50k+ in free AWS, OpenAI, Anthropic & Cloudflare startup credits - 0% VAT hassle and your accountant doesn't email you every week asking for a $4.99 PDF receipt Europe: - pay a notary €2,500 to read a 19th-century document out loud to you in a physical room - lock up €10k-€25k minimum share capital - 0% cashback, bankers kinda hate you, €15/mo just to have a debit card, currency exchange fees - and of course, spend 3 days every quarter doing VAT reverse-charge filings and chasing every single $9 SaaS invoice 😭

Speicher ≠ Erzeugung.

How to build it for zero dollars: start with 'we have no parts whatsoever' 10/10

Next question: Now how can I build the robot for zero dollars?

Kosten-Signal, keine Laune.
Replying to @RegierungBW

Net income + cost of living would flip half this table 🤣
Replying to @EU_Eurostat
Do it by net income and adjust it by cost of living 🤣

facts. when everyone can build, distribution is the moat 😂
if your 8yo can open Claude Code and build a full web app on a Saturday morning, vibe coding is not a moat. time to learn vibe marketing

Slowly, slowly, then suddenly. Petrol at 15.1% is basically gg. Demand isn't the bottleneck anymore, grid capacity and charging infra are. That's the real story
Slowly, slowly, and then suddenly. Surprise, the German car industry's genious plan to torpedo EU's EV targets and keep people buying museum cars isn't working.

Daniela Amodei said it right: “The ability to be curious, to learn across a lot of disciplines and to have a strong foundation of wanting to have impact, regardless of the area that you're working in, I think that is an underrated quality.”

Facts. The 3-hour rebuild is real, the 3-year audience is not
if anyone can open Claude Code and rebuild your core feature in 3 hours, your product was never a software company. it was a wrapper around an audience you do not have. the code is free now. distribution is the only moat left.

If you're paying for Claude Pro, Max, or Ultra: Run `npm update -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code` RIGHT NOW. Every background subagent was silently taxing your usage allowance every 30 seconds by re-reading the entire transcript. The fix cuts status polling cost by 99% and gives you ~6% more prompts per limit cycle!! Do not burn your weekly allowance on unoptimized status pings.
Background subagents in Claude Code now use less of your usage limit. A running subagent updates its status line every 30 seconds, and each update used to re-read its whole conversation. Now Haiku 5.5 writes it from short notes instead, so each update costs about 99% less.

Wait the real lesson here isn't self-hosting, it's not letting AI agents run unsupervised against other people's infra. I'd take the big providers over a rogue agent any day lol
I'm so happy I'm self-hosting everything now! If you're not, please stick with the big providers: AWS, Google Cloud, Azure. I wouldn't trust any of these small PaaS - Railway, Supabase, Netlify, Vercel, etc - for ONE second. Get off the cloud. (Or stick with the really big ones).
