Having read the tragedy for savers in the #Budget26, the #HNWI still has options. You’ve maxxed out all available ISAs, SIPPs and Premium Bonds, and you still have some £ sloshing about you want to remove from Labour’s grasp? Better to export your £ before the commies introduce capital controls. You may also want to remove £ from your estate to avoid #IHT. Hong Kong banks have the answer: real-deal-blog.com/how-high-…

I’ve followed JW on this one. #IBZL.
🇧🇷 I've pounced on Brazil - Wish me luck! #IBZL Quick snapshot on some of its holdings which I like: 💳 NU Holding: This is the genuine growth engine in the portfolio. I wouldn't buy it for income, but for long-term growth. That's quite different from most of the other top holdings. 🏦 Itaú Unibanco: Probably my favourite all-rounder here: profitable banking franchise, growth plus dividends, rather than being dependent on iron ore or oil. ⛏️ Vale: Very cash-generative and capable of excellent dividends, but profits depend heavily on iron-ore prices and China. Vale distributed R$32.5bn in H1 2026. 🛢️ Petrobras: Exceptionally profitable and potentially huge income. First-half 2026 net profit was around R$85.1bn. The reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is the political/government-control risk and exposure to oil prices. 🍻 Ambev: Less exciting, but financially very sound. I see this more as a quality + dividend company than a high-growth company. It announced roughly R$11.5bn of dividends in the late-2025 distribution wave. Who else bought it this morning ?

Just topped up my Rolls Royce #RR and took a scoop of Skydance #SKYD. Musk has put $1Bn in, and they’ve just merged with Warner/HBO. Subscriptions are a quarter of the price of Netflix. Also, sold half of my #NOVO and my #BRK.A. Both of which were going nowhere for too long.

I took a scoop of #ASHM today as @KevBuschhold did below. ExD in a week or so, 7%+ divi. You can sit on a stock like that in turbulent times, and even if the price stays flat, you’re earning about twice bank interest rates. A good, safe, defensive ISA stock that’s not subject to tech, AI and oil pressure. One you buy in your wife’s ISA and look at every few months.
I have added #ASHM into my ISA the Div of 12.1p goes ex on 05.11. Pay date 07.12.

I took a big scoop of $META today on the dip. I hold it indirectly via several funds for the long term, but like to dip in and out if there’s a tickle to be had. Always look at it with fresh eyes.
14% in a month on $META. I’ll take that. Sold! (Still holding it via funds for the long haul - this was an opportunistic side trade).

If you are troubled by the stream of threatening letters and door-knocking goons from #BBC #TVLicence, do this below. I’ve not paid the #TVtax for over a decade. ⬇️

I think the distinction here is that Kilmeade is talking about a potential negotiated “peace deal”, but it’s not clear if that’s what Zelensky actually means when he responds saying “right now we have to freeze”. I haven’t seen the full clip in context. If he’s still just talking about a temporary freeze, that could be a non-starter for Russia. That’s what they’ve been signaling so far anyway.

That might be worth a buy in the morning. #Carrefour.
Carrefour shares drop 14% today after cutting its 2026 profits outlook to flat following riots and damaged stores.

I had a scoop of #VERG yesterday, via my wife’s ISA (the safe one). Simply to balance the diversification because we had very little non-UK European exposure. It’s one of those buy and forget ones. The fund holds 415 European (not UK) companies.

Oversimplified, but it seems broadly correct if it actually happens. Russian media reports this too. Let’s hope the #Ukraine conflict is coming to a close. If so, Trump will claim to be the peacemaker. Russia will have achieved their objectives (as they were always going to), Ukraine will finally get elections and #Zelensky will flee with his stolen millions.
Zelenskyy agrees to accept defeat and the loss of 25% of Ukraine’s territory. Russia won
