Abu Dhabi's Desert Wolves: United Nations Findings Expose a Colombian Mercenary Network Supporting Sudan's Genocide-Accused Militia
From Abu Dhabi to Darfur through Libya and Somalia, a transnational recruitment and transport network allegedly moved Colombian mercenaries into Sudan to fight alongside the Rapid Support Forces, a paramilitary group accused of genocide and widespread atrocities.
A new Dark Box investigation examines United Nations findings concerning an Emirati security company with close government connections. Dark Box had previously reported on the Colombian mercenaries and published related photographic evidence. Human rights investigations, contractor testimony, employment documents, and documented transit routes now provide further evidence of a recruitment and logistics network linked to Abu Dhabi.
The findings raise serious questions about financing, coordination, and responsibility for enabling a force implicated in mass atrocities. They also intensify scrutiny of Emirati diplomat Lana Nusseibeh, who has defended Abu Dhabi's position on Sudan and whose candidacy to lead the United Nations was widely refused.

ARSI, OROMIA, Ethiopia: AGAIN.
On 5 November, armed assailants attacked Orthodox Christians in Arsi. More than 50 people were killed, homes were burned, and families are burying their dead in mass funerals. It came only days after the Shirka massacre of over 60 Christians in the same zone.
This is not only killing. Survivors were forced to convert to Islam as the price of staying alive. That is religious persecution.
Residents say Oromo region local authorities disarmed them before the attack. When a state disarms the victims and shields the killers through silence and impunity, that is complicity.
None of this is new. For the past 8 years, Orthodox Christians in Oromia region of Ethiopia have been killed, burned out and driven from their land in repeated waves. The pattern never changes: incitement, massacre, denial, impunity.
And the incitement is public. Radical politicians and activists from Arsi have openly called for this violence, in their own words, on camera.
It is time for:
• an independent, international investigation
• prosecution of the killers, those who incite them, and any officials who enabled them
• immediate protection for Christian communities in Arsi
Silence is no longer an option. @Pontifex

At least 29 displaced #Amhara civilians, including children, women and elderly people, were reportedly killed in drone strikes in #Ethiopia's #Oromia Region.
Local reports allege that forces under Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed's government targeted Wedesadma, near Kiremu in East Wollega, on November 6. Numerous civilians were reportedly critically injured.
🚨 An @AbiyAhmedAli regime drone strike has killed at least 29 Amhara IDPs, including children, mothers and elderly people, in Kiremu Woreda, East Wollega Zone, Oromia Region
On November 6th, 2026, at approximately 4:30 PM, successive drone strikes by the Abiy regime targeted internally displaced Amhara civilians in Wedesadma, near Kiremu Woreda, East Wollega Zone, Oromia Region, killing at least 29 civilians and leaving numerous others critically injured.
The victims included children, mothers and elderly people who had fled attacks in Ali, Andode, Fedeqa and Meleketa Semi. Already suffering from severe hunger, illness and displacement, the civilians were struck at the location where they had sought refuge.
🚨 Over 60 Amhara civilians killed daily in Wollega by Oromia Region Gadaa Commando as ENDF colonel demands 600,000 birr ransom to protect churches from attacks
On November 7th, 2026, local sources described escalating mass killings, displacement and destruction targeting Amhara civilians across Tulgana, Waja, Agamsa, Kiremu, Gida and Gutin in the Wollega areas of Oromia Region.
Oromia Region Gadaa Commando and allied armed groups have been conducting house-to-house attacks and pursuing civilians fleeing into forests and remote areas, with more than 60 civilians reportedly killed daily. Thousands of residents, including children and elderly people, have gone missing or become separated from their families.
In Tulgana, Gutin and Waja, bodies of slain civilians have remained unburied along roads, in villages and surrounding forests, with some exposed for more than three days and consumed by vultures and wild animals. Continuing attacks have prevented surviving residents from recovering and burying the dead.
Meanwhile, an ENDF colonel identified by the nickname Colonel Qore is accused of demanding 300,000 birr each from Tulgana Kidist Kidane Mihret Church and Tulgana Kidus Gabriel Church, totaling 600,000 birr, in exchange for protecting the churches from attacks and destruction. ENDF Command post forces have also been accused of using tanks and heavy weapons against religious institutions and civilian homes.
Thousands of displaced civilians remain trapped in forests and isolated communities without food, shelter or humanitarian assistance. Deaths from starvation and exposure to cold weather have also been reported, while road closures and continuing insecurity have made it difficult to establish the full casualty toll.
Video shows an Amhara civilian who survived the late August attacks by Oromia region Gadaa Commando pleading for a safe passage out of Oromia.

Jawar Mohammed's "deconfliction" narrative is a desperate cover-up.
Abiy's forces didn't pull back from the Eritrean border out of restraint. They were forced back after their offensives stalled in Amhara and Tigray.
Let’s look at the facts:
• Abiy openly threatened Eritrea, vowing to take Assab and the Red Sea by force.
• The federal forces are facing stiff resistance day in and day out from Amhara Fano, forcing them into a rapid retreat.
Now, Jawar wants the world to believe this forced retreat is a calculated "peace gesture"? This is a veiled attempt to gaslight the international community and manufacture a "necessary self-defense" pretext for a regime whose regional ambitions just hit a brick wall.

Abiy’s Deconfliction Measures Put Isaias to the Test
There has been a divergent but interesting strategic game playing out between Isaias and Abiy over the past couple of weeks. By pulling some Ethiopian forces back from positions near the Eritrean border, Abiy Ahmed has responded to international calls for de-escalation without relinquishing Ethiopia’s right to defend its territory. Separating forces reduces the risk of an unintended military clash. But deconfliction cannot work if only one side changes its military posture.
Ethiopia has also demanded that Eritrea end its military presence inside Ethiopian territory, stop providing sanctuary and material support to armed groups fighting the federal government, and accept credible arrangements to monitor cross-border movements. Without these commitments, a quieter border could simply conceal the same underlying security threats.
Those pressing Ethiopia to avoid another war are now asking what Isaias will do in return. So far, his response has been contrary to what advocates of de-escalation had hoped for.
First, he allowed TPLF’s Army 70 to move from Sudan to the Shiraro front through Eritrean territory. Second, TPLF movements around Rama, and their proximity to Eritrean military positions, raise particular concerns about possible cross-border military assistance.
Third, despite Ethiopia's demand that Eritrea stop supporting rebel groups, the Alliance for Survival's council met in Eritrea a few days ago and announced plans to strengthen cooperation against the Abiy government. This is yet another clear indication that the Eritrean regime has little intention of reciprocating Ethiopia's de-escalatory gestures and appears determined to continue provoking tensions.
Abiy can use these developments to press international partners to scrutinize Eritrea's role in the escalating tensions, rather than allowing the discussion to focus exclusively on Ethiopia's troop deployments.
In short, Isaias is refusing to reciprocate Ethiopia's de-escalatory measures. This allows Abiy to demonstrate that his government has responded to international calls for restraint while its legitimate security concerns remain unaddressed. The Ethiopian troop pullback strengthens Abiy's diplomatic and international case for taking defensive measures if those threats persist.
