Accurate.
People foaming at the mouth about AI this and that, while people in over 10 countries can't get food because the fridges needed an update. The industry needs grounding right now

I would not have wanted to be a fridge bare back to the internet 10 years ago, I deffo would not have on the 13th/14th of October, even less so yesterday..... but friends, that is unfortunately not how much of society thinks/works... If it's a great shock to you that society has a pretty poor record with digital security, I have some terrible news! It's been like this forever and well, it's not that we don't know about the problems, it's not that they can't be fixed technically.... but it takes WILL and MONEY and those two things, we are seriously lacking in! #Cyber #Fridges #Incidents #CyberSecurity #OT #IOT #LikeTheYear200Again

🚨Here is an urgent appeal from Ukrainian journalists to their colleagues around the world. I was asked to share it, and I am more than happy to do so. ‼️Turning a blind eye to what is happening in Ukraine today opens the door to the same horrors being repeated in our own countries tomorrow. #wariscoming #youmaybenext

Proszę zauważyć, że mamy do czynienia z bezprecedensową skalą współpracy w sieci między kontami i propagandystami rosyjskimi, a globalną skrajną prawicą. To jest ewidentny sojusz. A przynajmniej współdziałanie. To powinno wszystkim nam dać do myślenia, kto chce w Polsce zamieszać i komu to służy.

Russia's primary export is war.
This is brilliant from Dr. Sarah Paine: „Can you think of a one Russian product?„ 🤔🤷‍♂️

Unpopular opinion: Ukrainians don’t need another speech about how inspiring we are. We need air defense, electricity and a winter without funerals.

"Putin will wage war. I don’t know when, but he will. And you, Europeans, will be surprised to discover that this war is aimed at you, too... You think that what is happening in Moscow has nothing to do with you—that it’s our problem. Putin hates people like me, certainly. But through us—in Russia, or through the revolutionaries in Ukraine or Georgia—it is you he hates: your democracy, your society, your freedoms. Do you think his regime is merely a threat to us? Your awakening will be brutal." Anna Politkovskaya, in Paris, 2005. She was assassinated in the lobby of her apartment building on October 7, 2006—Putin’s birthday.

Historian Sarah Paine: When Putin dies, there's no democratic election. It's a free-for-all. Nobody in his network knows who takes over, and many Russians have military training, so civil war is possible. Recovery might take 10 years, a number I'm making up. 1/

Russia may have just held its first honest referendum on occupied Ukrainian territory. According to russian war correspondents, 80% of those leaving chose Ukraine over Russia. 17 buses to Ukraine. Just 4 to russia. So much for “Russia is here forever”

Friction for baddies might not be foolproof but it really does help in precise with defence... why would you want to give criminals an easy time? why would you want to not buy yourself more time?

The horrific screams of "Tato! Tato!" (meaning "Dad! Dad!") will haunt my dreams forever. Russian terrorism must be stopped. It must be! To strike a busy railway station full of civilians just to punish us is completely inhuman, next-level barbarism. I struggle to convey my disgust, my rage... and sorrow. Why was it done, why kill people like this? To say "we are letting Oleshky evacuate, but we will still keep murdering you?" I cant wrap my mind around it. I can't. Why? Why?? 14 people are dead after the russian strike on a railway station in Dnipro.

A Russian bot forgot to switch its account from MAGA to "Ukrainian." 😀 This is how Russians simulate public opinion and pressure politicians into adopting a pro-Russian stance—leading them to believe that this is what their electorate demands. That is why it is important to express your position openly.
