SENATOR JACINTA NAMPIJINPA PRICE
LABOR PUSHES AHEAD WITH TRUST CHANGES DESPITE PLEAS FROM SMALL BUSINESS
Treasury has today confirmed that 350,000 small businesses will be affected by the Albanese Labor Government’s 30% tax on discretionary trusts, despite small business pleas to scrap the tax.
Shadow Minister for Small Business and Shadow Minister for Skills and Training Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has slammed the policy, stating, “The latest brainchild of the Albanese Labor Government offers Australian small businesses three equally bad choices: pay a new tax; restructure and stump up for stamp duty costs; or lose any future flexibility with ostensibly fixed distributions to beneficiaries.”
The Australian Financial Review has reported that small businesses “could still face total tax rates of 60 per cent to 70 per cent unless they rearrange their affairs.”
In Estimates today, the Minister for Finance refused to provide certainty to small businesses facing these changes, failing to provide a straight answer to questions posed by Senator Nampijinpa Price about the impact of the discretionary trust tax changes.
“Labor should be backing our small businesses, not breaking them,"
“Jim Chalmers and his colleagues have been given every chance to listen to small businesses and scrap this terrible policy, but have so far refused to do so,"
“Not only is this a further tax burden, but restructuring costs will be the nail in the coffin for many of Australia’s small businesses that are already at breaking point,"
“Small businesses across the country are closing their doors every day. This is a national crisis,” Senator Nampijinpa Price said.
Affected small businesses can have their say by making a submission to the Senate Economics Legislation Committee before 29 October 2026 at:

Labor is trying to blame Pauline Hanson for a far-left terrorist attack.
The only time Brendan Nugent directly engaged with Pauline Hanson’s Twitter account was to attack her.
Ten thousand posts and not a single one of them ever mentioned her cartoons. He was a radical leftist.
I wish we didn’t have to respond to this today. Our thoughts should be with Helen Haines, and praying for her speedy recovery.
But the Labor and Liberal Dirt Units are already back at work, attempting to use this tragedy to silence their critics and deflect from their own failings. Too many media organisations are happy to help them fling the dirt.
The Please Explain cartoons have nothing to do with the tragic attack on Helen Haines. They will not be going anywhere.
Liberal and Labor politicians want our cartoons censored because they don’t like the scrutiny.
Free speech, satire, criticism and debate are essential to our democracy. They must be protected.
Those seeking to exploit this tragedy to silence their critics should be ashamed of themselves.
What happened to Helen is heartbreaking. Politicians deserve to be safe. So does every other Australian.
When violence touches politicians, the response is immediate: more security, more protection and demands for action. Where is that same urgency when ordinary Australians are attacked?
Too many Australians have experienced violent home invasions, firebombings, machete and gun attacks and carjackings. Innocent Australians are being stabbed on the streets. They cannot call on a security detail. They rely on governments to keep their communities safe.
Where has the Prime Minister been? Where is his determination to confront the crime and violence regular Australians face?
One Nation will continue to hold the Albanese Labor government to account. We will keep speaking up for Australians whose safety and concerns have been ignored.
We stand firmly against hatred, crime and violence. And we will keep working to unite all Australians under one flag.

Five series of Clarkson's Farm, and the same thing happened every year without anyone pointing it out.
The wheat drowned in the wettest autumn on record. The sheep stood in the rain and lambed.
The oilseed rape was eaten by flea beetle before it came up. The cows ate the grass that grew where the rape had failed.
The potatoes rotted in a shed he could not sell them from. The pigs ate the potatoes.
The wasabi, the chillies, the mushrooms in the bunker and the nettle soup made a few hundred pounds between them. The venison off the wood paid for the stalker and then some.
The barley came in late, light and under the price it cost to grow, and the brewery took it at a discount. The beef off the same acres went out of the farm shop at a price people queued down the lane for.
The arable half needed a two hundred thousand pound tractor, a man to drive it, a contractor to combine it, diesel, sprays, seed and a prayer to the sky. The grass half needed a fence and an animal.
The one thing on that farm that failed every single year was the part a government leaflet tells you Britain should be growing more of.
The one thing that never once failed was the part you are told the planet cannot afford.
Five years of evidence, a thousand acres, the best advice in the county, and a camera crew to record it. The verdict was the same as every hill farmer's since the Domesday Book. On land like that, the animal is the only thing that works.

A bon entendeur.

Europe is insane if it thinks it can conscript white Western men for war against Russia and leave millions of illegal migrants safe at home living on welfare next to undefended women and girls.
That's how you start a civil war.
Totally and absolutely irresponsible. And yet these are the vibes being put out by new propaganda material.
If anyone needs to be sectioned, its the leaders of Europe.
