Jason Beck and Coach Whit may be struggling to produce on the field, but I can guarantee you that Michigan is a fundamentally better place for young men to become better human beings, because the men leading them there today are good men who care about building good men, and they're now producing good men. But, let's refresh your memory... A year ago, your football team was being led by a head coach and a group of the most flawed and fundamentally unethical and immoral men and women who looked the other way while your HC slept with his assistant, got her pregnant, offered sexual favors to boosters, and engaged with porn stars online.y Not only did your HC objectify women, he also cheated on his wife, abandoned his family, and manipulated, stalked, and terrorized his mistress to get what he wanted. And in the process of misusing his position of authority to feed his sex addiction, he dragged one of the most respected and hallowed programs in the history of college football through swill and mud, embarrassing and staining one of the best universities in the world. But... as you've posted and screamed ad nauseam, that former coach and coaching staff had a better offense. I guess in your brain, as long as he scored on the field, you didn't care how he scored off of it. The character, history, values, virtues, and reputation of Michigan be damned! Maybe we come from a different place when it comes to life's priorities, but being a parent, I'd want my son to first be at a place where he will be the best player he can be, and graduate from there an even better human being. And being a girl dad, the last place I'd want my son to be is in a place where his leader is teaching him that manipulating women and treating them like sexual objects is okay, ignored, and even rewarded. But you being a parent to only a very cute dog (which is a great start) you probably won't get what it means to be a human parent until you hold your own baby Portnoy in your arms; it's the greatest and scariest feeling in the world. Maybe your compass is stuck at just "winning football games" since that's what coaches are handsomely paid to do, but football programs aren't just about that. It's also about having a coaching staff who teaches boys how to become good men and teaches them how to treat women with respect, equality, and dignity. That's what LaVell, McBride, Urban, Kyle, Morgan, and Kalani taught football players here in the state of Utah, while also winning football games. That's what Michigan hired Kyle and company to do there, first and foremost. I get that part of your persona is to be a bombastic and obtuse master promoter of your brand. You've built a billion-dollar company, so it works. But sometimes it crosses a line. Jason Beck is a family man who's betting his career that Michigan will be a positive move. And all you've done is attack a good man in front of millions. He's a man of character and of solid virtues. I care about these good people. But to you that's irrelevant because he can't provide the high-scoring offense that pleases you... in his first year there. You have such a large platform and I've seen the great things you've done for people, but the constant attack on a rookie coaching staff is such poor form; especially one that YOU helped buy and brought to right a sinking, immoral, and scandal-plagued ship. As I see you constantly attack people whom I know for not immediately performing to your expectation, I see why pizza is your favorite food. It's fast and easy to make, and it gets the job done of feeding you. And you expect people to do the same for you. Unfortunately, "Provo Dave," building winning football programs is more complicated and harder to execute than a one-bite, burnt-crust, no-flop cheese pizza review.
