Some wild history if Iowa State finishes off No. 24 Oklahoma State:
• Iowa State had NEVER won a home game when scoring 40+ against an AP-ranked opponent. The Cyclones were 0–5 entering tonight.
• Just 3 points last week, 45+ tonight. First time ISU has followed a game scoring 3 or fewer with 40+ since 1992.
• Most points against a ranked opponent since scoring 48 against Oklahoma State in 2018.
• First home win over a ranked opponent since beating No. 8 Oklahoma State in 2021, snapping six straight losses.
• Jimmy Rogers' first ranked win as an FBS head coach after starting 0–7.
• Three straight wins against Oklahoma State for the first time since Iowa State won four straight from 1960–63.
• A win by 10+ would be ISU's first double-digit victory over Oklahoma State since 2005.
• Aiden Flora has 185 rushing yards and 2 TDs, his third 150-yard game this season, the most by a Cyclone since Breece Hall in 2021.

Bob Costas was 18 when his father dropped dead at JFK airport. At the wake, a man handed him a thick envelope with $6,000 in $100 bills. It was everything his father left behind, and a bookie would never have paid it to a dead man.

His father, John, was a big-time gambler. Not casinos, not racetracks. Ball games. Bob says the mortgage was literally riding on his bets.
When the games went the wrong way, he threw things, cursed and yelled. Bob’s mom and sister would leave. Bob stayed, because watching the games with his dad was the only way to be close to him.
Friday, May 15, 1970. A cop knocks on the door. Before he says a word, Bob’s mother asks, “My husband’s dead, isn’t he?” John Costas had a heart attack walking through JFK. He was 42.
At the wake, one of his gambling buddies walked in with the envelope. “Your father was up when he died. Give this to your mother.” A bookie never pays a dead man, so the friend went to the bookie himself and said John sent him to collect.
Decades later, Bob Costas refused to read sports betting ads on air. Today the bookie lives in everyone’s phone. Is that progress?

MULTI-MODE SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK TOMORROW PM Oklahoma to Wisconsin!
We are targeting the northern black box where the greatest threat for a strong, long-track #tornado will likely be: southern Wisconsin, northern Illinois into eastern Iowa. The strongest low-level shear will develop on the northern end of the warm sector ahead of a surface low.
There is also a conditional threat for a strong tornado in Oklahoma/southern Kansas ahead of a crashing cold front and dry line.
In between, a destructive WIND BAG is the most likely impact from a linear storm mode.
