3D-printed model of the Mitochondrial respirasome supercomplex from Tetrahymena made for @A_Amunts. The membrane assembly contains all four respiratory complexes (CI-CIV) and comprises 150 protein chains and 311 lipids.

Plasmids are naturally-occurring circular DNA molecules from bacteria. In gene cloning, restriction enzymes are used to cut out a fragment of plasmid. A gene to be studied is then ligated into the plasmid vector.

Based on PDB code 6SAE, this is the structure of tobacco mosaic virus (TMV). TMV forms a spiral-shaped cylinder of 2130 subunits that encircles the single-strand RNA genome.
These models of the subunits fit together to show more detail of how a TMV ring starts to form.
The structure of dengue virus (DENV), a member of the RNA flavivirus family is part of a study to help solve the structures of flaviviruses, including new strains of DENV, Zika virus (ZIKV), West Nile virus (WNV) and Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV). Based on PDB code 7KV8.
