For anyone who’s ever faced a personal challenge, it doesn’t get much better than the 'Six Minutes' speech in VISION QUEST. This scene wasn’t in the 1979 novel by Terry Davis. Elmo's monologue was written specifically for the film by screenwriter Darryl Ponicsan (THE LAST DETAIL, TAPS). Actor J. C. Quinn absolutely knocks it out of the park here.
If you’d like to support the @FMJDiary project, you can bid on an original poster below. I signed and inscribed it with Elmo’s iconic line: “It ain't the six minutes... it's what happens in that six minutes.”

No fanbase in sports---pro or college, any country, any sport---would draw more joy from their team winning a championship than Jets fans, and you can't convince me otherwise.

#Jets have added four defensive players today:
- S, Minkah Fitzpatrick

I don’t care how many divisions there are in your state. Watching kids win state championships is so cool. The emotions, the celebration…you can tell how much it means to them and how much work was put in to get your hand raised at the end of the season.

In the @SheilKapadia spirit of "nobody talks about analytics when it works":
Aaron Glenn goes for 2 after a scoring a touchdown down 14. Ends up getting the one point lead in regulation that becomes the deciding point in the Jets' first win this season.
Awesome coaching job.
