Migratory season birding walk in Maryland feat. a chorus of toadsong (Anaxyrus americanus). They breed in shallow water, lay their eggs, then head to dry land! We also saw a pair of Tundra swans (Cygnus columbianus) and a blue-headed Vireo (Vireo solitarius)— two rare sightings!
A beautiful Ostara (spring equinox) today in DC, daffodil scent wafting through the air, chacos out (albeit stiff from the winter), all beings celebrating the return of the sun 🌞 🌿🐛✨
What an incredible experience at #IMCC7 in October! A diverse array of sessions ranging from genomics to eDNA to coastal habitat restoration to blue justice, to workshops on centering ocean defenders and communities in conservation science, to meeting wild penguins & more 🌊🐧

🚨 BREAKING: Oil pollution in UK seas is being HUGELY underestimated - when Big Oil's permit breaches are added to accidental oil spills, the total oil spilled increases by 43% 🤯
Big Oil is polluting our seas, & it's much worse than you think.
