The long and short of it is: KaiChing Kai Ching is by @Cosmose_ - they partner with mobile phone manufacturers in Asia so many phones come with it pre-installed (IIRC). Users are fed personalised ads, they get rewards, they can then use those rewards to shop at a tonne of merchants (they can do this in person). Originally, KaiChing tried to use Stripe but were getting rugged by TradFi fees, esp on small payments. It creates a NEAR wallet directly in your TG app, users can then farm HOT tokens. It might, at face value, look like something that has a short lifespan and is just farmed for tokens HOWEVER they've done amazing work integrating DeFi directly into the app as well as token launches and NFT mints. They're about to charge into Chain Abstraction, too: xitter.gq/NEARProtocol/sta… FWIW to interact with those chains via HOT you'll be sending a NEAR tx. Unironically, Chain Abstraction is somewhat of the promised land of Web3 - you can read more here: pages.near.org/blog/why-chai… Special Shoutouts "Top dApps Abstract" was the slogan at ETHDenver - special shoutout to @play_ember and @SweatEconomy who also take the complexity of crypto out of the use case for millions worldwide. @DapDapMeUp - more for the crypto native degens, it's a decentralized front end (hosted on NEAR) that will implement Chain Abstraction in the future but now does a more Chain Abstraction Lite (tm) and aggregates a tonne of L2s so you can easily f̵a̵r̵m̵ access a tonne of DeFi dApps without having to go to 50,000 different websites. I wouldn't fade the crypto-native stuff on NEAR, either.
