This is the future Tesla promised. A white Roadster slicing through a highway swarm of police lights at sunset, palm trees blurring, then the thrusters ignite. It lifts. Clears the gridlock, the sirens, the rules. No more stuck in traffic. No more chasing. Just pure, silent speed above the chaos. The road ends. The sky begins. This is what happens when you stop asking for permission and start building the impossible! 🚀🚀🚀 $TSLA

I dream of a day when all vehicles on public roads are autonomous. Not because I want to see people lose their own autonomy but because I value life. The technology is here, it saves lives, it drives better than you do, it does not get distracted, & it doesn’t get road rage.

Important note regarding Grok @Bot: Going forward, @SpaceX will use the best back end model for any given task, including Claude Opus 5.5, MidJourney, Suno and other leading APIs. Whatever is most likely to give you the best outcome.

Saw a video this morning of lawn care guys crying that due to gas prices they cant afford to do lawn work cheap anymore. They always had options “solarpunk Steve” over two years ago bought a Tesla model Y built a solar trailer with batteries & all electric equipment. Gas prices do not affect him. Yes they had options the lawn guy said verbatim “90k truck, 10k mower, 5k trailer, trimmers, chainsaws ect” well. Model Y can pull a trailer and its 45k, electric mower 6k, Enclosed trailer 7.5k. Also the equipment is quiet so everyone wins.

Most people think Uber/Lyft is just occasional rides. A huge chunk of users are daily commuters. They hop between apps over 70 cents cheaper rides. They spend $150–$300 a week just to get to work. For some that’s half their paycheck & can’t afford a car or a place to park one. Drivers often start at $35+/hr. A few years later it’s $20. Now they have a car & insurance payment they can’t cover on anything less. Plenty of low-skill jobs still pay under $12. Robotaxi could easily cuts the ride cost ~50% by removing the driver. That gives paycheck-to-paycheck people breathing room. It will displace drivers yes, it will be painful for many. It will be a blessing for others. However this is the cycle. Taxis died to Rideshare. Rideshare will die to Autonomous Transport.

The key to Ubers demise is not reading their financials and thinking they have an edge, it’s understanding that every year they lower the pay for drivers & cut incentives to maintain the sweet spot they charge riders. Average driver gets between 5-10$ for half hour trip. Riders rarely tip as they are locked in and cant stop Ubering to work at 20-25$ a trip because they are bleeding them just enough to keep them stuck. Daily riders in my area spend 300$ a week just getting to work. Robotaxi will likely cost 70-100$ a week. Thats something Uber can’t compete with because Drivers wont work for 2.50 a ride like analysts think they will. I never fell below 4.98 over 5000 rides my only 1 stars were anti Elon or Anti Tesla riders. I maintained 5 star rating over 99% of my rides, I was premium, comfort, lux, & black tiers but 98% of riders only used basic which we still have to accept even if we are higher tier to keep those tiers available. Suffice to say after 3 years When I started averaging 15-20$ hr vs 25$+ hr It was just not worth it. Unlike most drivers that now cant quit because they cant get out without defaulting Uber will slowly bleed them dry. Robotaxis will offer 5-7$ rides & it will end Uber as a whole. Clock’s ticking.
