I’ve grown to hate the phrase “America is a melting pot” not because it isn’t true but because the only reason I’ve ever heard it get used is when someone clearly believes that America is the only country in the world with any cultural diversity whatsoever
There’s an epidemic online of deeply insecure trans/gay people who take their low self esteem and hatred of their own sexuality and gender identity out on people happier than them, and I am SICK AND TIRED of it 😭
