Good meeting with my friend @andrii_sybiha today. As I reiterated during our meeting – Lithuania remains one of the staunchest supporters of #Ukraine and we are going to continue on this course. We discussed the importance of moving forward with Ukraine’s #EU 🇪🇺 accession as soon as possible – 🇺🇦 is making progress in the required reforms and #Lithuania is doing all it can to support this work. Lithuania is also continuing its military support to Ukraine – we are committed to providing 0.25% of our GDP to Ukraine’s military needs every year and we call upon other countries to make the same commitment. Only Ukraine can end this war – and it can do so only with our help. We are also addressing Ukraine’s energy needs ahead of winter. Lithuania already provided more than 253 tonnes of critical energy equipment to Ukraine. We are also investing in longer-term energy resilience which is central to Ukraine’s future abilities to withstand outside pressure. Every day, Ukraine is fighting for all our future. Lithuania will remain by Ukraine’s side; from day one, until victory.#

EU enlargement, with #Ukraine at its core, is a strategic investment in Europe's security. At the sidelines of #FAC I met with @MartaKosEU to discuss Ukraine's #EU accession progress. Despite Russia's war, Ukraine continues to deliver reforms. We must keep up the momentum, open the remaining negotiating clusters, and keep EU membership firmly within reach. The path to membership must be determined by merit, not obstructed by bilateral disputes. Enlargement makes Europe stronger, more resilient, and more secure.

🇱🇹🇱🇺 We are strengthening the security, resilience and continuity of Lithuania‘s data and information systems. Today, #Lithuania and #Luxembourg signed a bilateral agreement establishing the legal framework for hosting Lithuanian data and information systems in Luxembourg and governing the legal status of the premises, with the necessary guarantees of immunities and privileges. Welcoming today’s 🇪🇺 #FAC’s sanctions decision: 1,600 more entities and individuals tied to Russia’s information warfare, shadow fleet, and war machine are now listed. But let’s be clear: sanctions work only when pressure grows. Not when it pauses. Delisting sanctioned oligarchs a month ago projected weakness. Moscow read the signal and responded with escalation. In Ukraine, and increasingly across Europe. Russia exports the same aggression, coercion and sabotage playbook wherever it sees hesitation. The answer is simple: more pressure and more sanctions by every FAC. Less ambiguity.

Today in Luxembourg, I met with 🇭🇺 Foreign Minister @_OrbanAnita to discuss how to preserve a credible, merit-based enlargement process and sustain momentum on #Ukraine’s #EU accession path. Dialogue builds trust, and pragmatic solutions keep Europe united. Ukraine belongs in Europe.
