Bitcoin is the first and only global market for electricity. This is a letter to my peers in the energy industry. It's time to recognise the opportunity before us - and let's get building. Thread or article, your pick 👇🏼 citadel21.com/bitcoin-is-the… 1/10

Vance posting as if he’s an online pundit or commentator and not the vice-president in the administration that launched this war and then defended this war.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up. So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us." Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026. There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true. But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone. Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were: 1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.) In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night. If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest. But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there. I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

Abdul’s victory was most decisive bc that is where the battle with the lobby was joined. They didn’t drop a hundred million against Talarico. They didn’t pull out all the stops against him, they chose to fight Abdul. Theirs is a historic defeat. And it doubles up as the decisive argument against centrist selloutism.
The Democratic party might infer something from the respective strength of their senate candidates to determine a new policy agenda. The strongest battleground senate candidate: Talarico. The weakest: El Sayed.

Tonight’s outcome isn’t about placing faith in Democrats or socialist principles; it’s about holding Republicans accountable for betraying their promises. All Republicans had to do was: 1. put Americans First 2. not start another war 3. prosecute sex traffickers

I can’t believe he actually said this out loud. On Fox. The 2026 midterms summed up in one moment.

Insane… just got a call from a legitimate police number claiming my details were found on an apprehended criminal. Turns out it was a phishing scam trying to get info on any crypto holdings and services I use. This is fucked. How is anyone supposed to know what’s real anymore?

The Kafkaesque UK laws adopted under the Starmer gov to appease Israel are such that you'll get arrested for terrorism if you hold a sign saying I support Palestine Action. But if you hold a sign saying "I suppport Genocide. I oppose Palestine Action," then you'll be fine...

Free speech in the UK:
Anyone planning to attend a demonstration in support of Palestine Action in the vicinity of the US Embassy on Saturday, 31 October will face arrest as part of a robust policing operation. Expressing support for the group is an offence under the Terrorism Act following its proscription in June 2025, a decision upheld by the Court of Appeal in June 2026. Genuine question: what’s stopping MORE from moving to daily dividends? With STRC making the move, seems to be the baseline for digital credit?

🚨 Altcoin influencer @jason thinks Bitcoin is dead because “the memes are gone.” HALF a MILLION sats for the best new bitcoin meme. Winner announced on the Friday LIVE show. Reply to this tweet with your entry.
A brutal year for Bitcoin is just getting started. Give me three minutes to explain why you should dump it now. Outflows from ETFs are signal and will continue. We will test the 57k low again in the next 12 months. Why? Because there are far too many dynamic places to put your money that are creating MUCH more value. Why put your resources into a dead network that offers nothing beyond a store of value? What's the point of place the BTC be if Bitcoin's Ponzi-scheme nature has gone away!?! The viral nature of bitcoin was it's power... if you didn't own you were MOCKED! Now? Completely reasonable, heck, SMARTER, to ignore bitcoin and place other bets! No one is trying to convince people to buy Bitcoin anymore... the memes and NFTs are gone. No one is saying $ BTC can change the world, because it won't — and BECAUSE AI HAS! Just sell and shift from Bitcoin to Super Intelligence because one provides little to no value, and the other provides unlimited upside for humanity. This should be obvious to everyone right now. Bitcoin will never break its all-time high again.

Wavelength is now live on mainnet! 🌊 Humans and agents can now send and receive bitcoin payments with the Wavelength SDK. A few API calls, self-custodial from the first command, with no node or liquidity to manage. Read more and start building: lightning.engineering/posts/…

“Arabs don’t produce literature” is really something you can only say if you’ve never had a moment’s contact with genuine civilization. A mind totally consumed by television and self-help books.
RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Novel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

The cost of living crisis is a necessary mechanism to get Western publics to get their ruling elites to abandon their project to dominate the world. It’s the only path back to a more stable world.
