Bold and Unfiltered from Srinagar
Speaking at Badami Bagh Cantonment, Dr. Mehar Rather didn’t mince words:
“The burqa is being exploited, used for prostitution, drug smuggling, and arms trafficking. Yet any attempt at thorough checking is instantly labeled a ‘human rights violation.’”
This is the harsh reality. Vested interests are using the burqa to blend into innocent crowds and carry out nefarious activities — and the fallout directly affects local communities.
It’s encouraging to see young girls themselves raising the alarm.
