Thank you for everything @tim_cook, you've saved my life and millions more!
Below is an open letter I sent you, that I also wanted to share with the world: it explains why I'll personally forever be grateful to you.
Dear Tim,
You once told us the world needs us in the arena. For 15 years, you’ve fought in that arena. As you step away to the sidelines today, just remember the immense impact you had while you were in it.
We've never met, but I wanted to send you a note to say thank you. Why?
For many reasons, but chiefly for the Apple Watch. In 20 years of covering technology, this is the product that will forever resonate with me as truly game-changing in ways other consumer technology products cannot be.
6 years ago, I had a heart attack after Thanksgiving, and the Apple Watch saved my life several times, and then proved to be an incredibly powerful companion in getting me back to good health.
I've often said to people that Apple has done many great things, but the greatest is the Apple Watch. As you said, it's the biggest impact Apple has ever had on humanity, and the millions of lives saved would not have been possible with any other product.
The current focus on health, both as an industry and as humanity, would also not have been possible without the industry you and your team kickstarted, and I will forever be grateful that you chose to bring this product to market.
40 years from now, when I'm hopefully still alive, I'll still forever be an Apple Watch fan. Money comes and goes, market cap fluctuates, and political winds blow in multiple directions, but this is a legacy that no one can ever deny.
Congratulations on 15 incredible years you deserve to be lauded for, and for doing what few thought possible: picking up the mantle from Steve Jobs and leading Apple from strength to strength.
I wish you the best in your new role. Thank you again! If there's ever a doubt that it was worth everything, I hope this email and the many others remind you of just how many lives you helped save.
Yeah @x is horrible on the iPhone Duo and REALLY need to be optimized. It took about 2 minutes for it to display the text after it scrolled to the second line.
Also can't scroll to the end of a gallery etc. Utter shambles. So so incredibly poor

🚨 FINALLY! YouTube has been optimized for the iPhone Duo! 📱🔥
Both the outer AND inner displays now have properly optimized layouts, and I absolutely love to see it!
The apps are catching up, and the Duo experience just keeps getting better! 🙌
Also, shoutout to my two favorite podcasts! 🎙️❤️
Brilliant iPhone Duo shortcuts idea!!!
How To Bring the Action Button Back To iPhone Duo
1. Create a folder in Shortcuts called Action Button. Move all of the shortcuts you want to trigger in here.
2. Create a new shortcut called Action Button
Setup:
> Get shortcuts from [Action Button Folder]
> Choose from [My Shortcuts]
> Run [Selected Item]
3. Add the new Action Button shortcut to your lock screen
> if you want the list view, set the shortcut to run Action Button
> if you want a grid of 6 actions (shown in the next post), set the shortcut to Show Folder
I prefer the list view, personally.

Made the mistake of requesting a recommended update during the iPhone Duo setup.
I recommend skipping it but it does only take a few mins!

Don't like that the iPhone Duo doesn't auto-lock when you close it?
You can fix it with this simple Shortcuts automation.
You're welcome.
Instagram gives you far more privacy controls than most people ever touch. 🔒
Private account, hidden activity status, blocked message requests, manual tag approval, location controls, two-factor authentication, Meta tracking controls, and more.

As phones get more expensive, customers will seek much more reassurance.
A consistent experience at over 500 Apple Stores, customer-focused policies that are applied consistently and service that's unmatched means Apple could build up a huge lead in the highest priced segments.
Trenton nailed it.This is exactly why I believe this form factor is the future.
A foldable can be tall (aka top heavy), thick or heavy, but it can't be all three. The iPhone Duo is the latter two and the smaller size makes it feel completely different than it would if taller.

iPhone Duo is here! Excited to have worked on the design of our open/close transition. It’s designed to make the two displays feel like one seamless experience by perceptually bending the focal plane, not the content, so that it feels like opening a window onto a singular view.

20+ app updates on my Duo since my review already, and there’s a new section in the App Store for apps optimized for duo as preorders start to arrive. Developers are off to the races

Another missed opportunity here.
The iPhone Duo makes accessing the Control Center so easy. It’s just the tap of a button.
But, accessing the notifications still needs to stretch all the way from the top left.
There’s empty space right below this new Wi-Fi/battery/signal thingy, a simple toggle here would have made it so much more convenient.
