Really appreciate the shout-out 🤝
Bridging from fantom to sonic as memeholders was terrifying
The protocol was unclear and in many ways untested
@nomamesgwei led us to a path forward we trusted. Man brought 10-20 projects over, i cant remember exactly
Holy shit what a journey🤣

'Portrait of Pablo Picasso'
Picasso is surely one of the most influential artists for my own style and here you see a portrait of him visualizing this.
It picks up the black/white aesthetic and elements from 'Guernica' and other elements from artworks like 'The Old Guitarist' or 'Les Demoiselles d’Avignon', all newly interpreted in a psychedelic-cubistic way.
'Guernica' by Picasso (1937)
- It's 349.3 cm x 776.6 cm in size
- Picasso painted the Canvas in just 35 days
- The Spanish Republic commissioned it for its pavilion at the World Expo in Paris 1937
- The bombing was carried out on 26th April 1937 by Hitler's Condor Legion
- It happened on a Monday, a market day in Guernica
- Approx. 75% of the city destroyed
- The death toll is something of dispute to this day and ranges from 126 to 1600+
- Only black, white and grey are used
- The horse's body looks like newspaper
- Horse pierced by a spear opens its mouth in agony
- Above the horse an eye-shaped light with a bare bulb shines over the scene
- On the right a woman leans out of a window with a lamp, while another figure raises its arms in a burning house
- A bull stands calmly over a screaming mother holding her dead child
- A fallen soldier grips a broken sword and a small flower grows from it
- Lower right a woman stumbles forward into the light, dragging her leg behind her
- His partner Dora Maar photographed the whole creating process, check it here:
guernica.museoreinasofia.es/…
- When asked about the symbolism, Picasso answered: 'This bull is a bull and this horse is a horse.'
- In 1938–39 it raised money for Spanish relief in London, Manchester and the US
- From 1939, MoMA in New York looked after it on Picasso's behalf, sending it on tours until 1957, then keeping it on display until 1981
- In 1974 an artist (Tony Shafrazi) sprayed " Kill Lies All" on it in red paint
- Thanks to the varnish, the paint could be cleaned off
- Check the artist's police statement here:
guernica.museoreinasofia.es/…
- Picasso wanted it to go to Spain only once democracy was restored
- It arrived in Madrid in September 1981, 8 years after his death
- It was first shown behind bomb- and bulletproof glass
- Since 1992 it hangs in the Reina Sofia
- A tapestry version of the artwork hangs outside the UN Security Council
- In 2003 the tapestry was covered up, before Colin Powell made the case for the Iraq war

It also calls for executives who took reckless risks to be held accountable under civil and criminal law.

Sonic is building for the next era: AI agents, not just users.
In the Eterna x Sonic Labs Space (link below), @MrMinter made the point clearly: AI agents won’t pick chains based on hype, community size, or incentives. They’ll route to whatever delivers the best combination of speed, cost, reliability, and secure execution.
Sonic already has pieces of that stack live in V2.2:
☑️Protocol-sponsored transactions
☑️Atomic bundled transactions
☑️Pre-execution checks
These matter when software, not humans, is moving capital without constant supervision. An agent that reports “sold” but leaves the position open isn’t useful. Chains that make reliable, multi-step execution native will win the agent flow.
What’s coming reinforces the direction: an MCP server inside the Sonic client so agents can query data without external RPCs, plus a marketplace for skills and workflows with automated testing. @Eterna_Hybrid live Sonic deposits (sonic-3:native and USDC) and MCP trading tools are early proof that applications are already wiring into this.
The next wave of activity on-chain won’t be driven by another points program. It will be agents optimizing for the infrastructure that actually works. Sonic is positioning for that reality now.

Visa averages ~8,000 TPS.
Mastercard averages ~5,000 TPS.
Even if both ran at full peak capacity, global card payments would still use well under 10% of Sonic’s 400,000 TPS theoretical throughput.
Sub-second finality. EVM-compatible. Built for scale.
Welcome to the settlement layer for the future of finance.

The most interesting part of @Frax stablecoin strategy may be the dollars that don’t carry the Frax name.
$USSD on @SonicLabs is a useful example because it separates the stablecoin users interact with from the infrastructure supporting it.
At the ecosystem level, USSD can remain distinctly Sonic: its own identity, integrations, liquidity and distribution.
Underneath that, frxUSD and FraxNet provide part of the monetary infrastructure required to support issuance, redemption and cross-chain movement.
That separation has important implications for how Frax can scale.
Stablecoin distribution does not necessarily require every network, application or user to adopt the same consumer-facing dollar.
An ecosystem can preserve its own monetary identity while standardizing parts of the infrastructure beneath it.
For Frax, that turns the white-label model into more than a product feature.
It becomes a distribution strategy for frxUSD itself.
Demand for Frax infrastructure can potentially grow through stablecoins that sit one layer above it, even when the end user is interacting with a completely different brand.

🤖 Made with AI
Pitch to me the protocol & potential protocol token you are currently most excited about & why.
I will start..
Regulatory compliance mixed with positive-sum thinking is their edge.
They are building a real digital dollar on blockchain rails, alongside an onchain banking app built around it, with everything you need to seamlessly manage your funds onchain and even an Apple-like App Store planned on top.
Rn, KYC’d users can already earn T-bill based yield on their balance, and even with the GENIUS Act making it much harder to pass the backing yield of compliant dollars on to users, they still found a way, chads (still need to await the official implementation on 18 th of January 27‘).
But that’s far from all.
Whitelabel stablecoins, a lending market, powering Pegkeeper Pools, dozens of DeFi integrations, yieldbearing dollars, LSTs, their own blockchain, and more, all built by the same team while maintaining a spotless security record since launch in 2020.
Many who know my views on DeFi could have guessed, as could the lads who have already taken a deep dive into this DeFi giant, because I am talking about Frax Finance and their ecosystem token, $FRAX.
And my bet on FRAX isnt that deep tbh.
The „1 Token, 1 Mission, 1 Vision”proposal pretty much explains why backing the token could make sense if you’re already bullish on the roadmap of Stablecoins, and the implementations Frax already undertook.
Long story short, the ecosystem is being built around frxUSD growth, with some revenue already flowing to veFRAX lockers and room to expand that revenue sharing as the business scales.
A massive wave of stablecoin adoption is the thesis, and FRAX is my way of participating. Wbu?

Further more @MattVisser was featured in another interview, this time with @cryptomanran.
@SonicLabs under CEO Matt Visser has shifted to a clearer commercial model than before. Now it’s about:
- Own the best L1 infrastructure
- Grow real financial activity on it
- Turn underlying technology into revenue
On top of this, four verticals come into play:
- Payments and FX rails
- AI / Spawn Marketplace
- RWAs and tokenization
- Prediction Markets and iGaming
Three things as the foundation for this:
SonicVM
➡ Lightning-fast execution (~6.5× Geth on real blocks) while staying 100% EVM-compatible (Solidity + Vyper).
➡ Heavy focus on correctness via massive conformance testing (billions of instruction-level cases) and therefore fewer crashes and better security properties.
➡ This is the execution engine that makes sub-second finality and high throughput practical for payments, agent actions and trading.
Sonic DB
➡ Purpose-built state database that avoids the classic “read amplification” problem of putting an MPT on top of LevelDB/RocksDB.
➡ Result: low latency, significantly lower storage requirements and cheaper node operation.
➡ Directly supports the “best L1” core and makes specialized nodes economically viable for high-frequency use cases.
Sonic Gateway
➡ Native, non-custodial bridge between Ethereum and Sonic with a built-in fail-safe (users can recover on Ethereum after prolonged failure).
➡ Fast enough (heartbeat batching) to move liquidity and stablecoins (USDC via Circle CCTP, USSD via Frax, etc.)
➡ Audited by OpenZeppelin, Certora, and Quantstamp.
Performance now gets turned into revenue generating products and is not only a claim anymore. Bullish times ahead. sonic-3:native
