When babies are commissioned through #surrogacy, the separation of mother and child at birth is treated as a happy ending. The woman's pregnancy becomes a service and we are told this is progress.

The scariest part is surrogacy is increasingly presented as something to celebrate and is growing rapidly.
This harmful practice makes a woman an incubator and the baby an accessory - but motherhood is not a costume you can put on or take off.
Let's stop pretending there is nothing troubling about the baby trade that separates mothers and babies at birth.
It’s not a #HappyHalloween for everyone...

Personally, I feel dressing up as Harry Potter with an Afro is a serious case of cultural appropriation/transphobia/arachnophobia/ turtle phobia & Islamophobia. I can’t explain why. I’m simply convinced it is. Nothing if not entertaining…🤣
Why are these people so petty? What happened to people having a different opinion? Cutting people out of your life because they chose to dress up for halloween as a Harry Potter character🤷‍♀️🙄🤭

TODAY WE REMEMBER POLICE SERGEANT JOHN RICHARD SPEED Today marks 42 years since Police Sergeant John Speed of West Yorkshire Police was murdered in the line of duty while going to the assistance of a wounded colleague. He was just 39 years old. On 31st October 1984, officers were investigating two men acting suspiciously outside Leeds Parish Church, now Leeds Minster, on Kirkgate. During the incident, a police officer was shot and seriously wounded. Sergeant Speed went to help his colleague and confronted one of the armed men. He was shot and fatally wounded. He had gone to help a fellow officer. He never returned home. For his extraordinary courage, Sergeant Speed was posthumously awarded the Queen's Commendation for Brave Conduct. His funeral was held at Leeds Parish Church, only yards from where he had lost his life. John left behind his wife, a ten-year-old daughter and a nine-year-old son. Two young children who would grow up without their dad, and a wife whose life was changed forever. His sacrifice is commemorated by a memorial on Kirkgate in Leeds, unveiled in 1986, close to the place where he fell. Today, we remember not only the police officer who demonstrated such courage, but also the husband, father and colleague whose life was so cruelly taken. We remember his family, his fellow officers and all those who continue to carry his memory. Policing can involve extraordinary risks, often encountered during what begin as routine duties. Sergeant Speed answered a call to help. His courage cost him his life. POLICE SERGEANT JOHN RICHARD SPEED West Yorkshire Police Aged 39 End of Watch: 31 October 1984 Thank you for your service, your courage and your sacrifice. We Will Remember You.

The Conversion Bill makes it a crime to say "I want you to grow up to be a happy lesbian, I don't believe you were born in the wrong body" This is crazy.

The point is not why Rattley became someone who wants to wear false breasts to work. That is a question for his psychiatrist. The point is why Oxford governing body is allowing it. The fear of thwarting the desires of men who feel a need to flaunt their sexual fetish in public is at the root of society’s paralysis here. The victims of this odious charade are alienated young people who are being confused by men like this and seeking to harm their own bodies. If ever we needed courageous leadership, it is now.
How does Matt Rattley, a bright young man who read Chemistry at Somerville College, Oxford & became a greatly admired Lecturer at St Hilda’s, @UniofOxford, turn into an autogynephile, a fetishist, who wears a Z cup silicone breastplate to work? One word - PORN. #OxfordUniversity

Dutch emergency care doctor at Amsterdam University Medical Centre is blowing the whistle: From a post on LinkedIn by @ArmandGirbes: “A university hospital should stand for academic care, care based on scientific insights, regardless of ideology. This also includes the substantive debate of daring and wanting to have about medical treatments. Well, that's no longer the case for my hospital UMCG and Amsterdam UMC. There, ideology-driven treatments are given to vulnerable adolescents and children instead of the best possible care. The scientific literature is crystal clear and the UMCs seriously violate the basic rule Primum non Nocere. But the lobby on ideology is strong, so strong that the Health Council committee with 50% of the members with a serious conflict of interest, delivered a report that the qualification cannot support scientifically. Critics and parents of the children are systematically banned. Because critical doctors do not dare to express themselves openly even with science on their side, I was asked months ago to delve into it and speak out. As an intensivist you see the complications and the patients pass by regularly, but I had not delved into the literature and rely on what I heard from the practitioners. But now I know, and it's seriously wrong. The NPO asked me for a live debate on TV with a program of integrity. But neither the Health Council nor the UMCs dared to hold the debate. And now the UMCs are thwarting and canceling the debate in the House of Representatives. Critics and parents should keep their mouths shut about the UMCs. It's more than shocking.”

Absolutely true! IOC fooled!! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 In NO WAY is Joanna Harper an expert in human biology or sports eligibility. It is astonishing that Olympics officials were bamboozled by Harper’s erroneous study of only 8 male runners (found randomly via facebook) who self-identified as “women” and underwent hormonal treatment to get the #IOC to VIOLATE its own Olympic Charter by ignoring sex-based eligibility in sports (2015-2025) That’s all it took! Data on only 8 MEN in a singular activity running (not representative of other sports) to make Olympic competition UNSAFE & UNFAIR for EVERY WOMAN ON PLANET EARTH 🌏! In EVERY SPORT!! It was the punch 🥊 💥 heard around the world in #boxing at the Olympic Games in Paris (2024) that provided the smack upside the head required to get the IOC to WAKE UP and ignore activists like Joanna Harper. #KeepWomensSportsFemale #XX_XY distinction is real.
Joanna Harper is responsible for IOC 2015 study stating dropping T to 10nom/L for 1yr would remove male advant. Many sport feds adopted this rule assuming IOC had done it's homework. They hadn't. This restriction does not work. JH is responsible for a lot of carnage.

Congratulations to Wendy, Phoebe and our sisters at Women Of Wessex. You took on Bristol City Council, refused to be silenced, and won. The Council has withdrawn every allegation, lifted the bans, and issued an unreserved apology. They have now formally accepted that gender-critical beliefs are protected and that simply expressing them is not misconduct. This is a real victory…not just for the two of you, but for every woman who has been punished for saying what is true. Thank you for your courage. We’re proud to stand with you. 💚🤍💜
🚨We are delighted to announce that two of our members, who took legal action after challenging @BristolCouncil, have concluded their judicial review.

KNOCK, KNOCK! Who's there? NATIONAL KNOCK-KNOCK JOKE DAY! 😂 Yes, believe it or not, 31st October isn't JUST Halloween. It's also National Knock-Knock Joke Day! I can't think of a better day to celebrate jokes that are so spectacularly terrible they somehow become brilliant! Knock-knock jokes became a huge craze during the 1930s, particularly in 1936, when people were telling them in homes, newspapers and even on the radio. But the idea of someone knocking and asking who's there goes back much further. Shakespeare even included a famous knocking scene in Macbeth, although it wasn't quite the same as the jokes we know today! And now, in honour of this magnificent occasion, I have some absolute classics for you... KNOCK, KNOCK! Who's there? Boo. Boo who? Don't cry, it's only a joke! 👻😂 KNOCK, KNOCK! Who's there? Noble. Noble who? No bell, that's why I knocked! 🔔🤣 KNOCK, KNOCK! Who's there? Lettuce. Lettuce who? Lettuce in, it's freezing out here! 🥶😂 Come on, let's fill the replies with some gloriously dreadful British humour. And remember... IF YOUR JOKE IS SO BAD IT MAKES EVERYONE GROAN, YOU'RE DOING IT RIGHT! 😂

In London specifically, the Mayor and Met previously stated there was “no indication” of Rotherham- or Rochdale-style grooming gangs and emphasised other forms of exploitation such as county lines. The force is now reviewing thousands of cases from 2010 onwards (with more than 4,000 previously closed “no further action” files flagged for possible reopening under the NCA’s Operation Beaconport) because some lines of inquiry appear to have been missed or cases closed prematurely. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/06…

Good to see the underfunded Met are making the best use of their time;charging a woman for words while the grooming gang cases stay conveniently unsolved. Priorities sorted. 👏

A council failed to publicise a warning from the equalities watchdog that its policy of allowing males identifying as female to use a historic women’s bathing pond was likely to be “unlawful”, it has emerged. The City of London Corporation was also criticised for not making clear to the public that since 2019, when it introduced its transgender admissions policy, it had not considered the women’s and men’s ponds on Hampstead Heath — the 800-acre green space it manages in north London — to be single-sex. The developments have come to light days before the local authority is set to defend itself in the High Court against claims by the campaign group Sex Matters that its admissions policy breached equality laws. thetimes.com/article/hampste…

The City of London was warned by the equalities watchdog in August 2025 that its ponds policy was "likely to be unlawful". It didn't tell the public. Now it is spending public money defending that policy in the High Court. Every pound on lawyers is a pound not spent on the Heath. Who signed off on this, and how much is it costing taxpayers?

“I think this bill is ripe for a declaration of incompatibility. And what an embarrassment that would be for the signature centre piece of human rights legislation to run a risk of incompatibility. Particularly on Article 8 when the first poor, unfortunate parents, I suspect mothers, are arrested under this bill”. Yesterday, at the first oral evidence session at the Joint Committee on the draft Conversion Practices Bill in Westminster, the panel was asked how the bill will interact with the European Convention on Human Rights. Watch criminal barrister Dennis Kavanagh @Jebadoo2 set out how the bill will be incompatible with Article 7, 8, 9, 10 and 14 of the ECHR.

No, parents absolutely have the right to take a phone away from children for the express reason of them having contact with someone telling them something that the parent 'might disagree with'. Some 'disagreement' has life changing consequences.

WORD OF THE DAY: FLAPDOODLER: Someone who talks or writes pompous, boastful or absolute nonsense. Quite frankly, considering some of the people I encounter online, I think this word is LONG overdue a revival! It's wonderfully descriptive, gloriously old-fashioned and considerably more polite than some of the alternatives! So, who's joining me in bringing back FLAPDOODLER? And more importantly… how many people immediately sprang to mind when you read the definition? 😂
