2025...what a year. This is the first year in a VERY long time that I can truly say I had a good year. I had probably the worst year of my life last year. I graduated high school 4 months early, moved out before anyone else graduated, and tried adulting out for a change and oh boy did life hit me right in the face extremely hard. I ended up really not ok mentally and was debating whether or not life was worth it anymore. and then .@HavocTwoOne gave me a reason. USPSA. he posted a match and some dryfire and it looked so extremely fun I just HAD to try it out. one thing led to another and I was connected with .@KingWash1789 who quickly became a coach to me in almost all aspects of my life. I made the decision to chase after a newfound dream to become the greatest competitive shooter to ever compete. Shortly after a group formed of some of the greatest people on this planet who I am HONORED to call my friends and family .@ParkerGeurin .@VLanningham03 .@OGPancake07 .@gctactical .@ak_m_training .@Nox1040533 .@JoshShoots .@maxwellraybaker .@srsattern These people helped me and motivated me throughout my year to chase my goals. I finally stopped feeding myself lies about my health and lost over 100lbs in 7 months. I very quickly made GM in Carry Optics in an extremely fast time from my very first match. I went to multiple major matches and met some AMAZING people who helped continue to build me up instead of tearing me down. I traveled to meet my new friends in person and made some of the best memories of my life on that trip and I am anxious to hang out with them again. This is only a short write up compared to what I could all type out but I wont take anymore of your time. Thank you to all who made this year an amazing year for me and I am extremely excited to see what 2026 has in store for us!

These dudes never miss. Congrats to whoever gets to take either home!
Without further ado, and with nothing but class, Rascal has decided to stay in line with this rare Terrific Tactical Tuesday Twofer by offering up a Glock 19 Gen5 Acro 9mm AND a Daniel Defense DDM4V7 5.56 rifle! I asked the cool coon whether it should go to one lovely soul or if we should divide them up. "Let the people decide" is an exact quote so that we will do. See poll and make your opinion heard, below. Good Luck Godspeed Keep Going, MFs

October 27 When shooting a stage, most of it should be on auto pilot. That doesn't mean you shouldn't remain lucid enough to adapt based on what you see. This is especially useful for situations such as movers which you can't time that may dictate different engagement sequences based on where everything is when you arrive to shoot it.

October 25 If you can’t remember what you saw on a particular target in a stage, that is a great indicator that you are essentially shooting in a state of panic. When you are hurried or flustered you are all but guaranteed to make mistakes. All you need to do is put the dot in the middle and call acceptable shots. Everything about a match is designed to distract you from that one simple directive.

POV: you weren’t expecting incoming projectiles during dry fire. This was definitely a first.

Every morning or midday, I text Coach with thoughts that I am having. He will usually give me a good response, and then every day that question I asked him will be the topic of his dry-fire posts. I swear he waits to post his videos until I ask or say something to him each day.
October 24 Getting frustrated with yourself for making errors is not a bad thing. You should also temper that frustration with perspective gained through experience. Trust me, I hate the dumb shit I do with the best of them but I have to remind myself that I’m primarily a coach now and all of the shooting I’m currently doing is an experiment in how far exclusively dry training can take you. Even though I don’t expect to be winning big matches under these conditions, losing still pisses me off. Most people who are Type A personalities have no shortage of self criticism, but it’s important to at least occasionally give yourself some grace.

October 17 The commonly stated path to mastery requires 10,000 hours of practice/training. That’s 3 hours per day, every day, for ~10 years. Fortunately for us shooters, it requires nowhere near that much time. Mcnutt is over here placing 97% at nationals after 18 months of work. Is he an anomaly? Yeah absolutely. That by no means is something you should expect, but the point is it is absolutely within the realm of possibility. This is partly why I have little to no sympathy for people who talk big about wanting to improve but can’t even find 15 minutes a day to devote to it. Yeah I know you’re busy and have a dozen reasons that are totally legitimate barriers. Everyone is busy and everyone has shit going on. If you want it you have to make the time. Get some.

October 15 As shooters improve they will start tailoring strategy to their strengths. One area where huge gains of performance awaits is shooting on the move, especially when the shooter becomes good enough to consistently hit steel on the move. Many people from A to G possess the skill to do this on appropriate targets but don’t for a variety of reasons. Part of getting better at the game is developing the willingness to do things that other won’t when it makes sense and fits your skill set.
