Coming from years on CT, here’s what I’ve noticed about the Bittensor community after a month exploring $TAO:
1) Really Technical Group
The TAO community is super technical. It can feel intense for the average crypto investor—sometimes, at least for me—but it’s worth digging in. You’ll learn a lot if you stick with it.
2) No Hype, Just Facts
Unlike CT, where rugpulls and “BUY NOW” posts are everywhere, TAO OGs are not into shilling. They’ll explain big updates or why a project’s good, but they won’t push you to buy. It’s a breath of fresh air from constant shilling we see on CT.
3) Influencers Don’t Matter
Nobody cares about your X follower count here. The community’s technical enough to see through fluff. They want to know what real problems your subnet solves or how you're helping the community, not how popular you are.
4) Reminds Me of Bitcoin’s Early Days
Bittensor has this magnetic pull, like Bitcoin did back in the day, drawing in passionate, smart people with a religious cult vibe. It’s building a decentralized intelligence layer, like Bitcoin’s monetary layer, with incentives that drive network contributions—a key to Bitcoin’s success. No other project does this as well as TAO imo, with a sophisticated incentive layer around miners, validators, subnet owners, and stakers.
That’s my take on the TAO community after a month. I’m really liking the vibe here so far.
Here are some TAO accounts I recommend following if you want to learn more about Bittensor. I'm sure I'm missing a few - will share a more comprehensive list in the coming days, including subnet and AI agent accounts.

SN4 @TargonCompute generated $700k revenue in the last 30 days, about to reach $10m ARR.
$100m ARR for $TAO subnets won't take long from here.
$TAO #SN4 - In just a few days, @TargonCompute's revenue jumped from $580,000 over the past 30 days to nearly $700,000.
If even modest growth continues each month, annualized revenue is expected to exceed $10,000,000.
Before long, I think Bittensor will become the crypto project with the highest revenue and will then leave all its competitors far behind.
More conviction locked alpha for SN8 @VantaTrading
Total of ~$7.7M locked perpetually
Another great news after reducing owner emission to 0
All major weekly Bittensor updates in one post. Super helpful if you're trying to catch up but too busy.
Thanks Sami🙏
its been a good week being a citizen of the Bittensor network state. here's everything that happened this week
• @lium_io now hosts $30M in GPUs (91% utilization), including 225 B300s. At a $21M run rate
• @affine_io dropped a video model thats ~10x cheaper than the base model with virtually no drop in output quality after 3 days of model optimization
• @engyai hits a new ATH, with 370B tokens processed this week
• @say_gm_ had its highest traffic week, crossing $1M in total volume since July
• @cacheon_ai adds Meta's Muse Spark Open Kernel challenge to their mining competition
• Ingot released Ingot-I quantized Qwen 27B into FP8 better than Alibaba's own quantization in just 1 week
• @trishoolai released HaloGuard EU, an API product that enables companies to be in compliance with the EU's AI act. It's 200x cheaper than Jev
• @yugosai announces their subnet pivot to an intelligent model router
• @metanova_labs subnet-derived compounds underwent wet lab testing and compared favorably with reference compounds including approved drugs
• More subnets entering the buyback game this week with @VantaTrading @ $102K, @Bitcast_network @ $93K, @almnc_ai @ $45K, and @_redteam_ @ $30K.
• eTAO upgrade was implemented into the chain, giving subnet owners control over how they set their emissions. Huge quality of life improvment
I started looking into SN26 @perturbaix a few days ago. Despite the scary chart, the idea seemed interesting: break AI vision models before the bad actors do.
The problem is simple yet important: AI vision can be fooled easily.
What Perturb does to fix this: pays people to find the blind spots first.
Here's how the subnet actually works:
• Miners act as attackers. They make tiny changes to inputs, usually too small for a person to notice, that trick a model into a wrong answer. These altered inputs are called adversarial examples.
• Validators check each attack to confirm it really fools the model, then reward the miners whose attacks work.
• The goal is to find weak spots in AI models so their owners can fix them. The subnet aims to offer ongoing robustness testing, datasets of these attacks for retraining models, and robustness certificates recorded on-chain.
The competition never stops, so the attacks keep getting stronger over time.
In short: Perturb is a bug bounty for AI vision. Instead of waiting for attackers to find a model's weak spots in the real world, it rewards friendly attackers for finding them first, so the gaps can be fixed.
But finding vulnerabilities is only half the battle. The real test is whether those discoveries translate into stronger models.

Been seeing a lot of CT kols posting crypto rankings by revenue. It's the right direction, but there is one glaring omission: $TAO.
Tao subnets together are already generating $60m arr, nearly double what it was a couple months ago, and will likely reach $100m by EOY. The growth is hard to ignore.
I hope these KOLs can use tools beyond @DefiLlama and the likes, which only looks at revenue at the protocol level. You need to go one level deeper for tao, and actually look at the 128 subnets.
This is also exactly what makes Bittensor more complex than others, but if you're willing to put in the work, you'll be pleasantly surprised at what it can achieve.
Revenue has been one of the strongest narratives this year.
People will buy tokens of projects that actually make money.
Top 15 projects by revenue in 2026:
@HyperliquidX - $HYPE - $526.7M
@pumpfun - $PUMP - $390.5M
@Collector_Crypt - $CARDS - $90.4M
@edgeX_exchange - $EDGE - $86.8M
@aeroxyz - $AERO - $66.8M
@aave - $AAVE - $62.0M
@papertrade_xyz - $PAPER - $58.4M
@Uniswap - $UNI - $57.7M
@JupiterExchange - $JUP - $55.8M
@chainlink - $LINK - $47.5M
@PancakeSwap - $CAKE - $43.1M
@MeteoraAG - $MET - $35.8M
@Lighter_xyz - $LIT - $34.6M
@ether_fi - $ETHFI - $33.4M
@ponsdotfamily - $PONS - $28.3M
This is one of the easiest crypto narratives to understand.
You don’t need to decode a whitepaper to see that people are paying to use a product.
The next thing I look at: how much of that revenue flows back to the token.
Here’s how the top 15 changed throughout the year ↓
SN26 @perturbaix sits at just 0.0017τ, down 20% today. It's a highly speculative micro-cap, but the underlying idea caught my attention: rewarding people for finding weaknesses in AI systems before those weaknesses become real-world problems.
In very simple terms, Perturb checks whether AI systems can be tricked, so they can be made stronger.
Some AI systems (like ones that recognize what's in a photo) can be fooled by very small changes. A change too small for a person to notice can make the AI see a cat as a dog.
Perturb hunts for these weak spots. Companies can then fix their AI so it's harder to fool and safer to use in the real world.
Think of it like a bug bounty program, but for AI models: lots of people get paid to break things so the builders can make them harder to break.
It's a small network right now, with 3-4 active miners and few active validators. As I said earlier, super low cap so it naturally comes with high risk.
Interesting problem, early days, plenty to prove. I’ll be watching to see whether the team can turn the idea into real traction.

Programmable intelligence just got more programmable
With eTAO, you can adjust your emission split however you want. More rewards to miners, less for owners.
So far, I'm liking this new update.
eTAO just went live.
Before, Subnet owners were locked into a 41% / 41% / 18% hardcoded split for emissions.
Now - within some boundaries - Subnet owners can alter those splits.
Bittensor Programmable Mining is now MORE programmable.

More and more subnets not just joining buybacks, but also dashboards for easier tracking.
The energy and dynamics across subnets feel completely different than just few months ago.
We def going in the right direction.
$100m ARR coming sooner than many think.
Our new website is live at theredteam.io.
It now tracks buybacks, conviction-locked alpha and monthly miner submissions live from the subnet, with the buyback wallet linked so anyone can verify it.
You can also step through simulations of each detection line, follow a single bypass through the immune loop until the countermeasure ships, and find all of our research, mining guides and miner and validator docs in one place.
Our new dashboard follows later this week.

SN8 @VantaTrading will be reducing their owner emission to 0%🤯
Instead, miners and validators will be getting 50% each.
Why this crazy move? They believe they can fund a lot of their operations from APY and revenue from copy trading.
Message is clear: they don't need to rely on owner emissions. Once you have a working IM, all you need to focus on is helping your miners and validators win. The rest will follow.
Bold move by @0xarrash
eTAO leading to very interesting emission structure for $TAO subnets. Loving this new update so far.
Goodbye owner emissions, and thank you for the support. We've moved to 0% owner, 50% validator, 50% miner splits.
We believe removing owner emissions is part of a subnet’s maturation. Once you’ve built a stable & fair incentive mechanism, you can compete within it yourself.
That’s where we are with SN8. Anyone can provide trading intelligence to the network through an individual miner or an entity miner. We’ll compete by running an entity miner, and we see that as our future. Individual miners earn alpha for the PnL they contribute to the network. Entity miners, including prop firms, earn through profit splits with the traders they fund, with the shared goal of producing the network’s best risk-adjusted PnL.
We’ll keep building SN8 without owner emissions. APY from our existing holdings will fund subnet features and improvements. We’ll rely on mining emissions and Vanta Trading’s ability to compete to fund our continued growth on VT. As we have in the past, we’ll use specific wallets for Vanta Trading sales and any owner emissions, so the associated spending is easy to track.
Our goal is to grow the network to thousands of miners. We built SN8 to be more than a network where we’re the main competitor. There are many individual miners and entities already running on the network. With Null Consensus, we want to grow that exponentially. More miners will be able to join with the right rails, making it simpler to get started: USDC in, miner running.
As more miners join, we expect more network weight to flow to miners, bringing more trading intelligence and creating more capacity to meet demand for funding. That demand can generate further revenue for the subnet through copy trading.
We see this as the natural progression of a subnet, and believe SN8 is ready to begin that transition. It may take time, and there may be hiccups along the way. Our expectation is that, gradually, miners will receive 100% of the network’s weight. We’re starting that transition by moving our own owner to provide a bigger split to miners & our holders.
SN41 @almnc_ai setting a great example.
They have cut their owner emissions by nearly half and increased miner rewards by almost 25%.
Their new emission split:
10% Owners, 50% Miners, 40% Validators
This is a significant increase in the rewards to miners and shows the team is prioritizing miners, the most important asset in any subnet.
"Miners are the lifeblood of Almanac, as they should be for every subnet. With the eTAO release, we’re putting our money where our mouth is. Literally."
@lcnxyz and the team clearly knows their priority. Well done guys👏
SN41 Almanac: New Emissions Split
Owner 10% / Miners 50% / Validators 40%
Miners are the lifeblood of Almanac, as they should be for every subnet. With the eTAO release, we’re putting our money where our mouth is. Literally.
Miners: 41% → 50%
This is a significant increase in the rewards available to miners. It's a bet that more rewards bring more attention, while more attention leads to more competition, more competition brings better miners, and better miners means better intelligence for Almanac and our products.
Subnet owner: 18% → 10%
We’re cutting our own take by almost half. It was an easy decision: we haven’t sold any owner emissions since the beginning of 2026, and we don’t plan to in the near future.
For alpha holders, this means fewer tokens flowing to the team and less potential sell pressure. For everyone else, it’s a clear signal that we’re here to build. We’d rather those emissions go to the people improving the subnet every day.
Validators: 41% → 40%
Honestly, this one is purely to satisfy our OCD. Clean multiples of 10 across the board :)
Explosive growth at SN8 @VantaTrading
100% MoM growth, which is expected to continue for a while.
Very excited to see where things will be in a few months.
Vanta is blowing last month out of the water in just the first 18 days of this month.
All buybacks have been locked, more buys coming, and my expectation is that we continue mo/mo growth at the same rate (100% mo/mo).

AlphaRidge puts research, screening, and automation in one place instead of five tabs and three subscriptions.
A trader finds a setup on the screener, turns it into a rule, and the rule keeps running and alerting even with the browser closed.
@alpharidge_ai maps a few ways the workflow actually closes:
> Screening on news: Sort the whole market by 7-day sentiment, event clusters, and impact scores instead of just price and volume.
> From idea to rule: Paste a TradingView Pine script into RidgeScript, test it, then arm alerts to Discord, Telegram, or email.
> AI that shows its work: The analyst writes screens and marks up charts, then surfaces the exact platform data it used so you can check it.
The neat part is the news layer. Miners on SN45 turn hundreds of thousands of articles a day into screenable sentiment and events, so the screener can look at what is being said, not just what already happened.
Paper trading is free today. Live brokerage execution is still rolling out. The AI cites its sources, but you still have to confirm before anything is placed.
Been digging deeper into SN45 @alpharidge_ai, and I wanted to share how I understand the subnet works. Here’s my attempt to break it down in simple terms:
Picture a huge pile of newspapers. About 290,000 financial news articles every day from almost 13,000 sources. No one person could read all of that. SN45 is a team of AI readers that turns the world's financial news into clean data that traders and apps can use.
Miners are the readers: Each one takes an article and writes notes on it: Is this good or bad news for Apple? Which companies does it mention? Does it include numbers like inflation? Could this news spread to other markets?
Validators are the teachers checking homework: They hand out articles in batches. Then they secretly redo a few of them to compare. If the miner's answers don't match, the whole batch gets zero reward.
What comes out: neat, organised market data instead of messy articles. The AlphaRidge platform uses that data for real-time market insight. So far it has analysed about 16.9 million articles.
The bigger picture: In financial markets, information is everywhere. The edge comes from turning it into usable intelligence faster and at scale.
That's what makes SN45 interesting to me. Of course, an interesting problem doesn't automatically make a successful subnet. It's still early, and execution is everything. For now, I'm watching how well they execute and whether the market finds real value in their output.

With so much happening across $TAO subnets, it’s hard to keep up with everything, let alone newer ones.
One new subnet I’ve started looking into is SN45 @alpharidge_ai, which turns financial news into real-time market signals across stocks, FX, crypto, commodities, and indices.
I still have to learn more about it (still too early to have an opinion), but based on what I've read, here is how it works at a very high level:
Picture a huge team of speed-readers going through the world's financial news every day and turning it into a neat spreadsheet traders can use.
It works like a giant, decentralised news desk that never sleeps, with random checks to keep everyone honest.
So far it has analysed about 17 million articles covering more than 2,000 tickers (as of late August).
Could this be one of the subnets that actually sticks? No idea yet. Still too early to tell. The hard part will be whether traders actually use the data.
Second IM on SN41 @almnc_ai looking good so far.
