There are much older celedriel posts and ramblings, but I get why celedriels were annoyed at the time. We deserved better than PJ's portrayal of them. xitter.gq/lorienarchive/status/2…

“choose not to use warning” IS a warning. too many people confuse this as being the same as “no archive warnings apply” but that is not anyone else’s fault but their own.
fic writing question of the day: you're writing a fic where one of the main characters dies but you don't wanna spoil the ending. do you tag main character death or do you choose not to archive warnings? it feels wrong not to tag it but at the same time, what if that spoils it??

the concept of an empress who's complacent with and benefits from slavery, looks down on slaves and befriends slave masters being a victim over a runaway enslaved teenage rape victim because the victim "homewrecked" her marriage and was mean

Daenerys being the moon who cracked open and birthed dragons... she also being the sun who went too close to the moon and made it crack open... i just LOVE how she doesn't need anyone else to realize the biggest feat on asoiaf: bringing back dragons

Maturing is realizing you can dislike smth simply bc you dislike it. I hate ppl in fandom spaces who act morally superior for disliking a ship or a character when there’s nothing inherently wrong with it. What ur personal headcanon got to do w me

they overlook the fact that she desires the power to rule, she has always wanted a kingdom to govern in peace, and that has always been her noldorin ambition.
the idea that galadriel being tempted by the ring in canon means she desired sauron (because #symbolism) is so fucking funny to me because it implies that frodo, bilbo, boromir, saruman, gollum, etc, all also desired sauron. time to write some saruman x sauron smut!!

Ramblings about book!Celeborn because I love him so much in Tolkien's writings, and I have hope that TROP will manage to capture the beauty of his character.

gilded age getting more mainstream interest unfortunately means we have to take people by the hand and explain that crashing tf out is, in fact, a perfectly reasonable reaction for an unmarried 19th century upper class woman to have after losing her virginity

“Cliches are boring” Me when a character’s hard exterior is softened by another through affection and patience, for they not only see but love the true person hidden beneath the facade:

i think it’s important to extend grace to the people in your life when they do something you don’t like. not everything is a sign of calculated disrespect, sometimes they’re just humans making human mistakes
