Dan Walker remembers Gary Speed 10 years after his death
ALT a low-angle photo of a golden retriever lying on the floor at an indoor doggie daycare. over a dozen other dogs mill around in the background, but the golden is looking over their shoulder at the camera. curled up against the golden’s belly fur is a small brown pup with a white face, sleepy eyes, and cute, folded ears. the little puppy is resting her chin on the golden’s hind leg.
ALT a german shepherd is lying on the floor looking away from the camera with very alert ears. the shepherd looks very comfortable, one front paw casually tucked in. curled in a tiny ball atop the german shepherd’s fluffy tail is the same little brown and white puppy, this time contentedly snoozing with her eyes closed.
ALT an aerial view of a golden retriever sacked out on a speckled taupe floor. four dogs surround the golden, including one who’s sniffing around from the right, a husky at the top of the frame with its tongue hanging out, and a big brown snout that’s emerging blurrily from the bottom of the frame. but once again, the star of the show is the potato-shaped brown puppy with a white face, white front paws, and a little brown dot on the top of her head, she’s resting fully on top of the golden’s ribcage, seemingly unconcerned that this is not just a fluffy carpet.
ALT a reddish golden retriever is propped up on one elbow at doggie daycare, facing left. the little napping puppy has gotten bigger, but she still fits nicely tucked in between the golden’s legs, with her chin resting on the golden’s belly. she is impossibly cozy and safe here.
