The High Court has ruled that President William Ruto’s announcements on preferential allocation of affordable housing units to teachers & police officers cannot alter the allocation criteria established under the Affordable Housing Act & its Regulations without a legal basis. Justice Patricia Nyaundi Mande states that the presidential pronouncements made on June 3 & September 13, 2025, had no legal effect in the absence of a statutory framework supporting them. The case was filed by John Maina Ndegwa, Marshalls Tito Ongoya and two other petitioners, who challenged the proposed preferential allocation of housing units to selected groups.

"Go back to ethics and law school and learn how to address the court!" Tensions flared at the Kibera High Court as Justice Diana Kavedza ordered the defence lawyers representing Rose Mbithe Mulwa and her children to step out of the courtroom to calm their tempers. The friction erupted during the plea-taking session for the murder case of prominent city lawyer Mathew Kyalo Mbobu, where Mbithe and her co-accused denied the charges!

Kenyans, Listen to this MP talking about how much he spends to represent Nyaribari Chache in parliament. Then ask yourself who is the fool on this politics game. He says he spent KSH 40 million in 2022. He won. He has put aside KSH 300 million, for 2027, to return to parliament. What does he get in return? Let me just tell, you are the fool. Straight up. Kenyan MPs are second highest paid GLOBALLY, holding for the size of our economy. But even with that in mind, the economics DO NOT MAKE SENSE. Look at the second attachment: showing his compensation. Take the entire monthly amount of KSH 920,000, and multiply by 60 months. One term. The aggregate is KSH 55,200,000. If he kept 100% of his compensation - and not paid taxes, he would have KSH 55 million. Nobody spends KSH 40 million, and is ready to spend KSH 300 million, for a job earning him KSH 55 million in 5 years. That is the honest truth. So where do you think he gets his return? We have only one year of data from his CDF. I am not making an accusation here, but I want to tell you what the Auditor General found, and concluded. Remember this is just one year. The screenshots in in the third attachment. Finding 1: Kshs. 40,460,730 Kshs. 40.46 million in bursary disbursements had no acknowledgement letters from the receiving institutions, no names of beneficiaries, no schools. Nothing. So there is no proof the funds ever reached the alleged schools or if anyone ever benefitted. Finding 2 Kshs. 5,400,000 Kshs. 5.4 million was paid for four projects that were not finished. These were two classrooms with poor plastering, cracked walls, and missing tiling, windowpanes and drainage; pit latrines without the required disability chamber; a dormitory with incomplete floor tiling; and a gate with a guardhouse. Finding 3: Kshs. 9,494,427 Kshs. 9.49 million was paid for three projects that were either barely started or never built: (1) four classrooms where only the slab had been laid (2) two three-roomed offices that had not been implemented (3) a 45-student twin laboratory that had not been implemented Finding 4: Kshs. 8,000,000 Kshs. 8 million was paid for two 40-bed dormitories later abandoned. On one, only the foundation and ground beams were done, and the beams had rusted after the contract expired without an approved extension. Together, these four findings come to Kshs. 63,355,157 for Nyaribari Chache NGCDF. In just one year. In our politics, there is no shortage of fools. And it is not the politician. @FlavNasmbu @Kibet_bull @MoGAbdi

Rose Mbithe, two children, two police constables charged with murder of lawyer Mathew Kyalo Mbobu. The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has today charged politician Rose Mbithe Mulwa, her two children, Chris Mulwa and Angela Mulwa, and two police constables with the murder of city lawyer Mathew Kyalo Mbobu. The five accused persons were arraigned before the Kibera High Court, where they were charged with the murder of Mbobu. The charge constitutes a second murder case against Rose Mbithe Mulwa and her two children, who are also facing charges in connection with the murder of Dr. Victoria Mutiso. The accused persons appeared before Lady Justice Diana Kavedza and pleaded not guilty to the murder charge. The particulars of the charge allege that on 9th September 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., along Magadi Road in Karen, within Lang’ata Sub-County, Nairobi, the five accused persons, jointly with others not before the court, murdered Mathew Kyalo Mbobu. The two police constables charged alongside the politician and her children are Julius Kipkoech Cheruiyot and Kennedy Kipkemoi Borboroi. Until his death, Mbobu, served as a prominent advocate of the High Court, university lecturer and author. Prosecution also informed the court of its intention to charge Police Inspector Kenneth Sang in connection with the murder. Sang was arrested in Eldoret and subsequently presented before the Milimani Law Courts on Monday. The court authorised his continued detention for 14 days to allow the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to complete its investigations. The court directed the prosecution to file an affidavit opposing the accused persons’ release on bond and scheduled November 24, 2026, for the hearing of the bond application. #HakiNaUsawa
