Which families in Uganda have 4 vehicles in the compound? It's as if the only people he knows in Uganda are rich people. Step out of your elite bubble sir. Many people went to bed without supper.

The Soverignity law will limit the dollar to enter into the country and this will make the Government to come down on its knees because limitation will cause inflation.

Let’s get the context right — he made a right gesture (which I confidently predicted in 2024) — but the bill is no way by facts, logic or economics in position to both Uganda’s current account deficit or the recent exchange rate volatility.
I have seen a video from the Governor BOU making rounds on social media, from his warning of the exchange rate depreciation during the controversial sovereignty bill. Hold on, and relax with the hype — he made a correct gesture (which I confidently predicted in 2024 — quoted here).
We cannot blame the recent depreciation o the sovereignty bill for two reasons. First, Uganda has run a current account deficit for decades, and second, the sovereignty bill was not in any meaningful way enforced.
The only reason for this current depreciation is liquidity mismanagement since late 2025.

Wow! Looks like many people, probably hundreds, were tortured from that torture chamber in Abayitababiri alone. What is certain though, is that it is not the only one the Ugandan regime operates. Now this lady has come out to say she was taken there.
Surely, @KagutaMuseveni, as a father, you can't see this and let it continue! No one's daughter should go through these ordeals!

A reminder of why we fail to pay our loans from banks and financial institutions.
A borrowed loan goes bad (becomes a Non-Performing Loan or NPL) when a borrower fails to make scheduled repayments for 90 days or more.
Understanding why loans fail:
1. Skyrocketing interest rates: Commercial bank prime lending rates frequently hover between 16% and 22%, causing total repayment amounts to rapidly outpace borrower income.
2. Severe business shocks: Small enterprises face frequent disruptions like sudden supply chain bottlenecks, local market fires, or infrastructural deficits like prolonged power outages.
3. Extensive loan diversion: Borrowers frequently redirect commercial capital to fund non-income-generating social obligations, such as expensive wedding ceremonies or unexpected medical emergencies.
4. Over-indebtedness: Individuals regularly juggle multiple concurrent microloans or digital app loans to pay off older debts, creating a fragile cycle of financial distress.
5. Aggressive digital lending: Mobile money loan platforms offer instant, high-cost credit without thoroughly evaluating a borrower's true cash flow or capacity to repay.
6. Unpredictable agricultural shocks: Reliance on rain-fed farming exposes rural borrowers to crop failures, prolonged droughts, and heavy pest infestations that wipe out seasonal revenues.
7. Poor financial records: Many informal traders do not track daily cash flows, leading to flawed budgeting and a failure to set aside dedicated loan repayment funds.
