'Mai' on netflix starring Sakshi Tawar has criminals named Mohan, Shankar but honest police officer & passionate lover named Farooq.
I am last person to judge people on basis of religion but Netflix repeatedly makes it obvious with the efforts.
It takes 15 min for bone cement to settle but…..
Lol where are we heading ? What do we get by saving this precious time ?
Saw a young woman 33 today who delivered a baby 2 months back, having mets in entire spine. Have sent her for PET. Poor girl, before knowing it is cancer she will be traumatised to know that PET scan would cost 20k. But I was happy to see her having a supportive husband and in laws despite being from village and poor.
Everyday I see people crib on twitter for minuscule things. Before you sleep tonight thank god that you have a sound family and health. Not everyone is blessed with that.

What a tight slap on the face of pseudo and radical feminists. 🔥❤️🔥

Sorry about the incident but just a random thought. I personally feel high time this CGHS/ECHS schemes should end eventually. The rates are low or at par with Ayushman Gov schemes.
Its takes 20-40 Rs/day of expenses to buy a mediclaim policy covering 10L.
I dont understand why people are so reluctant to buy one.
My husband took my 90 year old mother-in-law to the Emergency at @fortis_hospital at around 8 pm on Sunday (24th Oct). She was delirious and her BP was touching 210 which seemed alarming. The emergency doctor attended to her as did someone from Gastro. She underwent a CT scan and the lady doctor who saw her mentioned that they would need to put her in the ICU and investigate as they were not sure where the problem was and would need a couple of days to stabilize her. It is 1 AM now; my husband is still waiting for a bed. The reception tells him to check with the emergency doctor; the emergency doctor says there are no beds and sends him back to reception. Now, the emergency doctor has the audacity to tell my husband in a very off hand manner that he should take my MIL to another hospital with a referral letter.
We go to hospitals when there is a problem; the least we expect is some empathy. Is it because my MIL is the wife of a late army officer and is empanelled in ECHS? Is this how families of retired armed forces officers are treated? We have been visiting this hospital for over 30 years and the service standards have become pathetic. I am told that no senior person is around to address this issue.

Non sense propaganda.
There is no job which gives you happiness, satisfaction, respect, long retiring age and money at later stage which being doctor does.
Always be proud of yourself. Work hard, travel to periphery. Touch lives.
Not even a single day in life, I don’t feel humbled by countless blessings I have.
My school took me just once out, that too on a municipality ground infront of school to see Jadugar Mangal 😭
There are two types of women who are angry on Vijay. One who are paid to do such posts, two who are not happy with their lives.
Non sense things getting traction on internet.

I Joined Orthopaedics when top ten rankers were not doing so . I was introduced to basic orthopaedics in Internship & was hooked after successfully reducing a Colle’s Fracture. The happiness of seeing the post reduction X-rays was the driving force for me to take Orthopaedics.

All the money is gone in freebies and reservations. Govt spends minimum of 6% of GDP on SC ST OBC reservations and schemes. If you count Ladli behen yojana and similar vote buying schemes then it crosses 10% of GDP at least.
Why?
Healthcare isnt a political issue in india.
While counselling people, I follow this dictum..
If anyone is confused between medicine and surgery, should not take Surgery..
If anyone judges on basis on rank, should not take Surgery…
If anyone judges if the particular surgical branch is on decline or downfall, should not take Surgery..
Surgeons needs to have passion, ability to lead, love for blood and risk..irrespective of money and position in hospital you get. And to be honest as @sumersethi Sir says, a hospital is mostly known by its leading surgeon and management loves inclining for its surgeons more.
"Sir, is surgery declining?"
A final year student asked me this after Round 1, the allotment list open on her phone.
"Medicine closed at 4,703, Radiology at 3,058, Dermatology at 5,628. General Surgery went till 14,012 and Ortho till 15,591. Am I making a mistake by choosing surgery?"
Here is what I told her. And I am a radiologist not a surgeon.
1. Yes, the gap this year is real.
Of the top 1,000 ranks, 407 chose Medicine and 299 Radiology. General Surgery got 44, OBG 33, Ortho 13. The median Open rank was 635 for Radiology and 5,230 for General Surgery. That tells you what this batch chose. It does not tell you what surgery is worth.
2. Toppers still chose surgery.
12 of the top 200 seats went to surgical branches. Rank 30 took Ortho at BJMC Ahmedabad. Ranks 73, 87 and 157 took General Surgery at RML. Surgery at RML closed at 480, at Safdarjung at 526. DrNB Plastic Surgery opened at 735, Neurosurgery at 1,051.
3. Seats move the cutoff.
General Surgery had 496 Open AIQ seats. Dermatology had 117. Give Surgery only 117 seats and, on this year's actual choices, it closes around 2,618, tighter than Dermatology. With Radiology's 219 seats, it closes at 4,646, right next to Medicine. A late cutoff often just means a big branch with many seats.
4. Choices carry a bias.
Students who want Radiology or Medicine know these go at the top, so they work harder and chase the rank. The rank follows the ambition. A student who loves surgery often knows the seat will come at a more forgiving rank and plans around that. The cutoff shows who aimed where. It does not rank the branches.
5. Our picture of a doctor is a physician.
As students we imagine a stethoscope and a clinic, and assume physicians have more scope. It is a misconception. Think of the most famous doctors you know. Most are surgeons. In most big hospitals, the names with the most leverage with management and the biggest patient following are surgeons. A good surgeon with good hands builds a reputation that no cutoff can measure.
So if you enjoy the operation theatre, boy or girl, do not read Round 1 as surgery declining. These numbers reflect one year's choices, not a branch's future.
Choose surgery because you love it. Its future is decided by the people who practise it well, not by one year's closing rank.
