I utterly condemn the killing of an innocent young Doctor Dr Zakariye in Galkao. It’s heinous & unprecedented crime its kind in Puntland. Giving into urges, perpetrator must face hard justice - Somalia has become a place where knowledge and peace consider as threat.

Brief history about Oromo: History, Origins, and Political Influence.
The name Oromo emerged relatively recently, in the nineteenth century, with 1893 cited as a significant date. Its meaning is said to be “the sons of strangers” (children whose parentage is unknown).
According to historical documentaries, the people known as Oromos originally migrated from the Borana region, south of their present-day territories, bordering Kenya.
In the sixteenth century, the Oromo embarked on a migration known as the Oromo migrations, moving northward into Ethiopia. As they advanced, they settled among existing populations, often through pastoral expansion and gradual integration into the territories they occupied.
Among the ethnic groups with whom the Oromo settled and whose territories they expanded into were the Amhara. One strategy through which the Oromo gained settlement over Amhara territories, according to this account, was assimilation.
They integrated into Amhara society in various ways, including through culture, religion, intermarriage, and employment. Some Oromo groups also accepted subordinate social positions, allowing them to live within Amhara society while gradually establishing themselves.
By the end of the sixteenth century, Ahmed ibn Ibrahim al-Ghazi (Ahmed Gurey) had, according to this historical narrative, significantly consolidated the Oromo population among the Amhara, with many becoming incorporated into the broader population and subsequently being used in efforts to resist Ahmed Gurey's uprising.
The history of the people known as Oromo is extensive and cannot be adequately summarised here. However, it is important for every Somali to understand how the Oromo expanded into much of what is now known as Ethiopia during the sixteenth century, gradually establishing themselves through migration, settlement, and integration.
The question is whether, in the twenty-first century, the Oromo intend to pursue a similar strategy in Somalia - seeking to establish a presence and influence through gradual settlement and methods that may go unnoticed until it is too late.
Within Ethiopia, the ethnic group that Somalis often identify as having taken or maintained control over Somali-inhabited territories through a combination of force and political manoeuvring is the Oromo.
Today, an estimated 60,000 to 100,000 Oromo people are said to be living across Somalia, and that number is reportedly growing rapidly. Neither Somalia's federal government nor its regional administrations appear to have a clear plan or sufficient awareness regarding the growing influx of Oromo people into the country.
The Oromo are the largest ethnic group in Ethiopia, with an estimated population of 40 million, representing approximately 35% of the country's total population. They are also described in this account as the poorest among Ethiopia's four major ethnic groups.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, who is of Oromo origin, is alleged to have plans that include ensuring the Oromo establish a presence and secure interests in Somalia, by force or through strategic manoeuvring - whichever means prove effective.

Where is the F-16? where is the Turkish Drones attacked the Southwest State..⁉️
Those who suffer defeat shift the blame onto others; the aggressors who attacked Southwest State were defeated.
Who were defeated them?Who were they fighting? we don't know all. ✍️
The fight in Baidoa, the capital of Somalia’s South West State, is no longer just a power struggle among Somalis. According to sources on the ground, drones launched from Kenya and Puntland are striking government positions in Baidoa as Al-Shabaab and Laftagareen’s militias advance. The same sources say the UAE is offering soldiers and commanders in the field hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash, armoured vehicles and luxury homes in Kenya. mogadishueye.com/2026/10/bai…
All Somalis know that two terrorist groups; local terrorist al-Shabab and foreign Turkish missionaries, fought in Leego.

Open Letter to President Erdoğan: Halt Alleged Turkish Air Operations in Southwest Somalia
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan,
I am writing once more since my previous appeals have not been answered. The involvement of foreign military forces in the political conflict in southwest Somalia puts civilian lives at risk and damages the public trust that Türkiye has earned in Somalia.
A recent report claims that Turkish military aircraft attacked positions of the Southwest State Darawiish near Berdaale and that three soldiers were killed as a result. In light of these claims and previous unverified allegations concerning Turkish F-16s in the area of Baidoa, there should be an immediate and transparent response.
Mr. President, stop any Turkish air operations which put civilians at risk. Don't let Turkish aircraft or military aid be used by Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in his political struggle against the Southwest State.
It is impossible to settle a political dispute through airstrikes, and calling Southwest soldiers 'terrorists' does not prove that they are terrorists nor does it get rid of any party's obligation to protect civilians.
Foreign military intervention should not force families living near the area where fighting is taking place to abandon their homes just because the conflict is about determining who will govern their region.
A warning should be given regarding the consequences of maintaining military involvement: the Somali goodwill towards Turkey might turn into lasting resentment. Nothing political is a sufficient reason for putting civilian safety or the trust between our peoples at risk.
I am asking you to halt all Turkish involvement in these operations, to make a public statement on whether or not Turkish aircraft carried out the reported Berdaale strikes, and to back an independent inquiry into the alleged civilian casualties.
We should be given a reply. Somalia needs political dialogue, accountability and peace and the people of the southwest deserve to live free from the threat of air strikes.

In this map, #Turkey portrays its partnerships and strategic interests across numerous African countries. However, the reality on the ground may differ considerably from the picture the map presents.
Turkey’s economic, industrial, technological, and diplomatic capabilities weaknesses undermines the breadth of influence it claims across the continent.
Nevertheless, a country is entitled to develop maps reflecting its strategic outlook, foreign policy priorities, and security assessments. Producing such a map is not, in itself, an act of aggression or a legitimate basis for categorical condemnation by another state.
The same principle applies to #Israel. If Israel publishes a map for its own strategic purposes, identifying countries or regions it considers potential security risks alongside areas it regards as relatively stable, that does not automatically constitute a violation of another country’s sovereignty or an act of hostility.
#Somalia itself presents a complex security landscape. Some regions enjoy relative peace and development, such as #Puntland and Somaliland, while others (South Central Somalia) continue to face insecurity, instability, and stagnation.
These differences are part of the country’s political and security reality. If a foreign country reflects them in its own security assessments or strategic mapping, the Somali government cannot simply shift the blame onto that country for presenting an unfavourable picture.
The fundamental question is not why a foreign country assesses Somalia’s security situation in a particular way, but why Somalia’s own leadership has failed to establish consistent security, stability, and effective governance across the country.
