Loving adding my @bot to Slack
Wished there was a native way to do that. But this works:
- create a slack app (ask a bot to do that) that sends message to a webhook
- set a routine in your bot which is triggered by the webhook
- name the slack app after your bot and point the slack mentions over to the routine webhook
-> magic 🪄

New alchemy is on Effect 4.0 stable and has too many awesome changes to fit into a single tweet.
My favorite this time round is that @neondatabase is no longer just a database company. It might be time to update their twitter handle 😅
[email protected] brings a ton of new stuff, including broad GCP coverage, Neon becomes more than a Database, pluggable secret providers, Prisma ORM, better scheduling primitives for Durable Objects and much more.

to do this you just gotta: npm i -g littlesystem
it will install the littlesystem cli and start the canvas + a skill teaching your agent on how to use it.
you can then just ask it to draft a new/existing system using the cli

Cool eval. Simply ask an LLM “Land or Water?” and give it a latitude and longitude coordinate as text. Ask 16,200 times, plot as image. The models know. From compressing the internet.
Nice read
Today I'm parting ways with Fly.io. It's been a privilege. I'm off to tilt at a big old windmill with Kurt, again.

I've been reflecting on this. I'm generally a very optimistic person, but lately I've been feeling a strange sense of sadness that coding has been "solved".
I can, and have, made many caveats to "solved"... but I also know that in five years none of them will matter. It will be solved.
Building things is still fun, but a different kind of fun. It doesn't activate the same parts of my brain as trad coding did.
I think it's okay to mourn the thing we loved doing being different now. Software was the first job to go through the five AI stages of grief, which means we're also some of the first to internalize that this will happen to many other jobs.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
That’s I needed to see from this release

Opus 5.5 communicates more naturally, addressing some of the most common feedback we heard on Opus 5.
It puts the most important information up front and follows the writing rules you give it, which makes long sessions easier to follow.
here's how i shipped 2,500 PRs last month to production
this was originally supposed to be for Cursor Compile in London. i couldn't make it since i was livestreaming for Grok @Bot Galaxy so i'm making it available for free here on X! watch it on 2x speed, i talk slowly
