This bit from the article on this is just harrowing. Your son is murdered and the police's first response is to check if he, or you, have committed wrongthink
Henry Nowak’s family were told there were 'no concerns' with officer conduct by the police watchdog, the IOPC.
In an exclusive interview with ITV News UK Editor @PaulBrandITV, the family says they were unaware of the contents of officers’ bodycam footage from the scene of the crime, which detailed the 'horrific' final moments of their son's life.
Speaking publicly for the first time, Henry's father, Mark and stepmother, Katie, said they only saw the video on the first day of the trial of their son's killer.

Andy Burnham and his MPs must be the only people in the country who think immigration might need to be even higher than we've had.
Insane.
‘It’s difficult to say is it too high or too low’.
Prime Minister Andy Burnham has told @DanielHewittITV that there is a ‘much better control’ of immigration, but it’s 'difficult to say' whether legal migration is too high or too low.

Should working class people have control over their neighbourhoods?
Of course they should! That’s proper socialism.
Remember: rapid, mass immigration is peak neoliberalism.

Incredible optics for any right-wing party here.
Nearly 3/4 of responses were from migrants, not British citizens.
The Government is caving into the demands of non-citizens.
One reason the Boriswave has been so influential is Commonwealth voting.
Any migrant with permission to enter or remain, even time limited, can vote on arrival, there is no minimum residency period.
A Commonwealth migrant on a work or study visa can vote and influence political outcomes, despite not being a British citizen.

What a depressing Labour u-turn on the extension of ILR for Boriswave care workers. It’s not just the huge cost heading our way, it’s the way that care workers are singled out for the sentimental treatment we usually reserve for NHS nurses. For our own benefit as a country we need the average carer to be better paid, better trained, and higher status (I recently wrote a book partly about this The Care Dilemma). But we don’t have to pretend they are all angels: there are some who are v good, most who are average and too many who are useless, as in any walk of life. The immigrant carers are coming here for a better life from poorer often failing societies not because they love looking after British people. In my own last hospital stay most the care assistants were Boriswave women, mostly from Africa - some decent some indifferent - but ALL spoke quite poor and v heavily accented English that was sometimes hard to understand and unless I spoke slowly and deliberately they struggled to understand me. This is obviously a sensitive issue that many people experience but don’t feel able to talk about (though it must be reflected in those low satisfaction surveys), partly because a carer has helped you when you are vulnerable and there is a kind of reflex gratitude even if the care has actually been a bit sloppy or incompetent (and you also feel you’re getting it free so shouldn’t moan, even if you’re paying more and more in tax). Yet it’s crazy that we are spending billions subsidising this when we could be using the money to incentivise British ppl, who speak the language fluently and understand the culture, to do these jobs.

Only 18 per cent of respondents to the gov ILR consultation are British citizens. Are we being governed via polling visa holders? Not sensible.

Does everybody remember the Bradford grooming gang case involving a 15-year-old girl who was subjected to an Islamic marriage ceremony with her abuser, while her own social worker attended?
Well, her abuser, Raja Zulqurnean, originally sentenced to 18 years on 14 May 2025, had his sentence increased to 23 years by the Court of Appeal on 5 September 2025, after it was deemed unduly lenient.
My question remains: Why was the social worker who attended this so-called marriage ceremony not in the dock as well? A vulnerable child in state care, being exploited in plain sight. Where was the safeguarding? Where was the accountability?

I would hope, although I seriously doubt it, that this began with a mea culpa about his own inaction when Putin invaded Ukraine in 2014. Yes, we want everyone supporting Ukraine against Russia aggression, but Obama is a badly flawed messenger.

The fact that this merits comment suggests just how censorious & stifling the policing of online expression has become. It WAS Think Before You Post & You Can't Say That. Now it's Think Before You Like & You Can't Like That.
🚨 NEW: Nigel Farage says Reform candidates will not be banned for liking Tommy Robinson posts.
• Nigel Farage has said candidates for Reform UK will not be prevented from standing if they like social media posts by Tommy Robinson.
• Speaking on Radio 4’s Today programme, the Reform leader said: “I wouldn’t ban anybody for liking someone like Tommy Robinson. Wouldn’t be my cup of tea, but I wouldn’t ban anybody from doing so.”
• He added that he does not want the party to get into a world of cancel culture, though he would act if someone supported something outright wrong.
• Farage said any response would depend on the specific post. “I’m not going to run a party where we say ‘you can’t talk about that person or that person.’ We have to be sensible about vetting, and we are.”
• Farage claimed the party vets its council candidates to a much higher level than any other political party.

This is all true. The speed and scale of the change are seismic and unprecedented. And it is not leading to the multicultural utopia that elitist liberal-progressive voices predicted. On the contrary, it is leading to a nation increasingly divided along ethnic, religious and cultural lines. We have to manage that rupture as best we can - and by always retaining our basic humanity. But pretending it isn’t happening serves no-one.
It’s not ‘racist’ to notice that England is undergoing convulsive demographic change. There is no historical precedent for the levels of migration that have been imposed on us – and against our will. The English are disappearing, says Patrick West
