I want you all to know this.
There are 650 MPs in Parliament. Yet the one MP chosen by @UKLabour to Chair the Bill Committee for the controversial, dangerous and dismally bad draft legislation, the Conversion Practices Bill, is Alex Barros-Curtis. Until July 2024, when Alex was given a very safe Labour seat in Cardiff, he was the Head of the Labour Party's Governance and Legal Unit in London. This was a department set up to investigate complaints against members of the Labour Party. Complaints of antisemitism, Islamophobia, abuse, and of course latterly, mostly women holding legally-protected 'Gender Critical' (sex realist) beliefs. Alex oversaw the investigation of hundreds of members who liked or tweeted gender critical or feminist views. I was one of them. He investigated me, as a sitting Labour MP, for 13 months.
13 months to 'investigate' one like of one tweet. I had a great lawyer, one of the names we're all now familiar with, and I had to crowdfund to pay for his (excellent) work.
They first tried in 2020. But the screenshots crudely attached to that passive aggressive, threatening-sounding email from LP admin staff were so risible that I replied that it was too ridiculous for me to waste my precious time on. They left it. Years of Starmer bumbling and stuttering through interviews about whether he had spoken to me, whether he supported me, etc followed. My feminist sins continued apace.
And then I 'liked' a tweet by my GC comedian friend @Glinner. He had mocked Eddie'Suzy' for comparing his choice to wear traditional women's clothing, fake plastic breasts and nails, to those being persecuted by the Nazis during WWII. I found his sarcasm, as a award-winning comedy writer in the face of such offensive narcissism amusing and so 'liked' it. I found it absurd and obscene that Izzard, an extremely privileged and wealthy man, who openly changed his 'gender' at will, should write himself into history falseley as someone who would have been oppressed due to a circumstance beyond his control. We all know the groups who were tortured, starved and killed...
There is obviously more to my story, I will tell it all, it's just one chapter of the years of spiteful abusive and bullying practices meted out to me by the Labour Party managers. Not those who'd achieved office on merit, or even unexpectedly, but those in the club, often having failed to be elected themselves.
So Barros-Curtis who we were repeatedly told led 'the many *independent* inquiries into women members and MPs like me, now often stands as a trans-rights activist on the Labour backbenches. He has also been gifted the role of Chair of this Committee and is a huge supporter of this Bill. And I am not a part of the Bill Committee, although plenty of TRA MPs are. Does that sound like the democratic scrutiny of legislation to you?

The @metpoliceuk really need to sort this out.
Tonight, my family and I experienced something no family should ever have to go through.
Our restaurant, Singhβs Dining Restaurant in Hammersmith, was attacked by a group of Islamists.
We had been receiving death threats every single day, including one that specifically warned us that 28 October would be our last day.
We raised our concerns, and the @metpoliceuk were aware of the threats. Yet tonight, we found ourselves facing the very nightmare we had feared.
My daughter had to close the shutters just in time. I cannot even begin to imagine what might have happened if she hadnβt acted so quickly. We could have lost someone in our family tonight.
The attackers reportedly tried for a long time to break through the shutters to get inside, leaving shortly before the police arrived.
We have serious concerns about how the attackers knew when to leave, and whether they were alerted before the police arrived. These concerns deserve a thorough and transparent investigation.
Tonight, I am left facing a heartbreaking decision, Do we keep our doors open and risk our lives, or do we shut down the business we have worked so hard to build because I donβt serve Halal food.
No family should ever have to choose between their livelihood and their safety. No one should have to live in fear in their own place of work.
I am angry. I am heartbroken. I am frightened for my familyβs safety.
I am calling on the @metpoliceuk to take these threats seriously, investigate tonightβs attack thoroughly, and ensure that my family is protected.
Please share this post. Let our voices be heard. We should not have to wait for someone to lose their life before our safety is taken seriously.
Enough IS Enough.

Yes, Kids Really Do Get Trans Surgery
As promised, hereβs a list of every case I could find, in just a few hours of searching, involving children under the age of 18 who underwent gender-reassignment surgery.
Starting at age 13.
You are not mad enough.

Sometimes Iβm surprised by just how surprised trans-identifying people and their allies are about the pushback.
Youβre asking people to accept that you are the opposite sex, often when they can plainly see otherwise. You expect everyone, regardless of their beliefs, backgrounds, religions, cultures or understanding of biology, to affirm your beliefs you have about yourself.
And when they canβt honestly agree, you wonβt let it slide. You want institutions, workplaces and schools to enforce that agreement, right down to ordinary public interactions. People who object are labelled hateful, with demands that they face consequences at work or even legal penalties.
Then you seem bewildered by the resistance.
Youβre demanding that people speak as though they agree with you about the nature of sex and gender, how society should organise itself around those beliefs, and even the best way to treat dysphoria. The same views. Even when it means it forces people to lie to you. Everyone must use the same language. Everyone in lockstep.
How do you not recognise how authoritarian that demand is?

Women donβt always get the apologies they deserve. So Iβd be grateful if you could help make sure this one is seen by sharing it over the next 24 hours (link below). π
Thanks again to @SpeechUnion for supporting my legal case and helping secure this apology.

When you hear the term βprogressive politicsβ, be sure you understand what it means.
The bill to which Duffield refers would have been considered utterly Orwellian not too long ago. Itβs now considered βprogressiveβ.
Itβs a bill that could potentially criminalise parents for trying to prevent their children from making life-ruining decisions.
In truth, itβs Trojan horse legislation designed to protect a harmful and regressive ideology from any challenge by those who love children the most: their parents.
One might have thought this insane and authoritarian bill would be the lead story on every news bulletin. But large parts of the media, including my employer, the BBC, have been utterly captured by gender ideology, with its adherents occupying every tier of the editorial hierarchy.
Progressivism has become cult-like: it brooks no dissent, tolerates no divergence of opinion, punishes those who stray and takes every opportunity to tighten its grip and enforce adherence.
Those of us who remain independent of thought must continue to fight this movement without complacency or compromise.
Real harm is being caused to the voiceless and vulnerable.
Another meeting with expert psychotherapists, academics and experienced parents discussing the many potential harms of the terrible #CPBill #conversionbill. Some of us Parliamentarians have been steeped in this for several years, yet the Bill is being led through the House by those new MPs who had an agenda to push it as Labour Party activists and staffers. One drafted it, one is Chairing - and was the Head of Investigations against women like me. Women like me would have been blocked from joining the Bill Committee as a Labour MP, I have zero chance of getting near it and contributing now. Won't stop me finding other platforms to speak against it though, obviously...

If people want to know why the fourth estate rounded on Arday in the way it did, itβs because of this. When Jack approached Arday for comment on the plagiarism allegations, Arday reported him to the police and set Carter-Ruck on him. For doing his job. Once Nathan Cofnas broke the story in a blog, Jack told of Ardayβs actions towards him and the other journalists took notice. You donβt threaten journalists without triggering repercussions. They started digging. It wasnβt a hit-job by the right-wing press. The most damning revelations were published by The Atlantic and The Guardian.

Recognition from fellow journalists is much appreciated as this is undoubtedly a difficult and polarising story, with a tragic outcome. Many people still do not accept its legitimacy but it was an important public interest story which sparked public debate about key issues of our age timeshighereducation.com/opiβ¦

The irony is that shes annoyed the gender critical movement is growing, when that's exactly what you'd expect a movement to do.
Personally, I don't think it should even be a movement. Movements imply a niche cause that you have to identify with, when this should be something everyone can get behind. Women don't have penises. Children shouldn't be sterilised. Why should those positions belong to one particular political tribe?
From the veganist, sandal-wearing, crystal-loving, sourdough-making Green voting hippie to the biggest frog-marching, far-right, fascist-bookshop-buying Nazi, everyone should be able to agree on these things, otherwise whats the point.
The aim should be to get more people on board, not to complain that more people are joining.

The woke Left has performed a miracle. They rejected organized religion, declared traditional morality outdated, and then invented a new religion complete with sacred beliefs, forbidden words, original sin, public confessions, and heresy trials.
Their commandments?
Thou shalt not question the narrative.
Thou shalt confess thy privilege.
Thou shalt trust the experts, but only the approved ones.
Thou shalt celebrate diversity of everything except opinion.
Thou shalt think critically, provided thou reachest the correct conclusion.
Congratulations! Youβve escaped religious dogma and replaced it with political dogma.
Same unquestioning obedience. Different priesthood.
Iβll stick with reason, evidence, individual liberty, and a healthy dose of Stoic scepticism.

I donβt care if someone calls me a βtransphobeβ.
In fact, Iβve reached the point where I take it as a compliment.
Because itβs increasingly used to describe women who stand up for their sex-based rights. And the men who support them.
Why would I be insulted by that?
But while Iβm not offended by the word, I am wary of people who use it.
Because it tells me something about their priorities.
That they believe menβs identities and feelings matter more than the safety, privacy and dignity of women and girls.
And thatβs not someone whose judgement Iβd be inclined to trust.
