With all the med depression & noise/wind/ a/c trigger risk, plus a pharmacy miscount, I used to be afraid till I was prescribed rescue nasal spray. Either way, I’m singing 🎶 Don’t fear the seizure 🎶 post ictal to feel better. 🤬😭😅

That’s what my week long EMU stay didn’t understand since my meds died completely for the very first time in 2019. Alas, my body fell asleep for me & I got 3 hours of a sleep a night after the nurses were checking my vitals. Never thought Jalen Hurts would beat me! 😴

Sometimes it’s shunt revisions, while other times it’s prior authorization for seizure meds! 😅

I was recently suggested gene therapy. Had to explain that it wouldn’t work for my birth epilepsy & how eugenicist it was. No one prepared me for how much more I’d be getting those comments for publicly advocating. CP & my shunt also prepared me so I’m good! 😅

I have CP & hydrocephalus too. Epilepsy is a bit easier b/c I used to only seize w/ med tolerance. If meds are right, it’s now a startle reflex. Just take rescue spray w/ me & it should be fine like every other adaptation.

I panic like I missed a step before I cuss & administer rescue spray juuuuuust before avoiding dropping & flopping!

When someone laughs, I follow. Aggressive smiles make me feel like the other person is in a cult.
