The great Indian quota syndicate has no ideology, no party lines, and no constitutional shame. Look at what is unfolding across two major states: 1. Karnataka (The 56% Quota Scam): In October 2022, the BJP government (Basavaraj Bommai) passed a law hiking SC quota to 17% and ST quota to 7%, breaching the constitutional 50% ceiling to take total reservation to 56%. The Karnataka High Court struck it down as unconstitutional under the Indra Sawhney mandate. Now, the Congress government (Siddaramaiah & G. Parameshwara) is running to the Supreme Court to appeal the verdict, arguing for "quotas proportional to population" and demanding protection under the 9th Schedule! 2. Madhya Pradesh (The 73% Quota Disaster): In 2019, the Congress government (Kamal Nath) hiked OBC reservation from 14% to 27%, blowing total reservation up to an unconstitutional 73%. For five years, instead of rolling it back, the BJP government (first Shivraj, now Mohan Yadav) has engaged the costliest state lawyers to aggressively defend that 73% quota in the High Court and Supreme Court, keeping thousands of recruitments frozen under bizarre 87:13 holding formulas! Notice the pattern? In Karnataka: BJP introduced the unconstitutional hike → Congress goes to SC to defend it. In MP: Congress introduced the unconstitutional hike → BJP deploys state machinery to defend it. When it comes to vote-bank appeasement and crushing merit, the Congress and the BJP operate as two franchises of the exact same business. One party plants the landmine to win an election; the other waters it to keep the vote-bank intact. Neither cares that the General Category is being reduced to a disenfranchised minority in education and public employment. Inefficiency को incentivize करके आप social justice नहीं दे रहे, बल्कि आने वाली पूरी पीढ़ी को permanently uneducated और लाचार बनाकर देश के विकास की जड़ें खोखली कर रहे हैं! अब भी लगता है reservations मे reforms नहीं होने चाहिए?
