One thing that's surprised me about Andy Burnham is the extent to which he just lies.
He says this morning small boats are because of Brexit and "we can't return people".
The FACTS:
In last 5 years of Dublin agreement the UK took in far more migrants than it sent back.
2016: net 200
2017: net 150
2018: net 1000
2019: net 500
2020: net 800
Five years = net 2,500 more migrants than sent back.
Plus, now we'd have to sign up to the migration and asylum pact so the numbers will be enormous.
He knows this. His advisors know this.
They are just lying to you.

Remember when Angela Rayner’s department lost the islamophobia notes then claimed they deleted them under GDPR laws?
Well its absolute bollox, It turns out they lied to Parliament and the files were found completely intact on their IT systems
Now they are refusing to release them because they are shitting it we will find out exactly which islamist groups wrote the policy

🚨Andy Burnham has just said he is open to taking Britain back into freedom of movement with the EU.
Insanity.
Households with foreign nationals received a record £11.9bn in Universal Credit welfare payments last year.
The majority of them are EU nationals.
Burnham is going to allow literally everyone who can secure citizenship to any EU country to move here.
