Note that Friar Malik Mack (29.8% on 3-pointers, 81.8% on free throws last season) would be a positive regression candidate based on this from @matthewwinick, and Miles Byrd (31.0%, 79.5%) just missed being a potential positive regression candidate. xitter.cf/matthewwinick/status/2…
These numbers also make sense given the research I did this spring.
It showed that nearly every sub-30% 3-pt shooter over 80% from the line improved the next year, and nearly every 40%+ 3-pt shooter sub-65% from the line got worse.
