Ok, that’s enough. I’ll try @henry_r@hachyderm.io.
Many good and ethical reasons to leave, but it’s the daily performance of utter mediocrity by Musk that does it for me.
He’s not funny, he’s not kind, he’s not clever, he’s not creative. I don’t owe him any of my attention.✌️

This is what this site is about now.
Journalists who cover Elon Musk have been suspended on Twitter tonight: @Donie O'Sullivan from CNN, Aaron Rupar and the Washington Post's @drewharwell.
Rupar tells me he has "no idea" why it happened.
Things are going downhill here pretty fast. Mr free speech is in full rage mode. Noticed solid uptick in my mastodon follows. Mastodon ain't perfect but unfortunately it will soon be the only thing. Please follow me there.
Mastodon is a breath of fresh air:
✅ No ads
✅ 100% of your timeline is from people you follow
✅ No random clickbait shoved in your face
✅ Not run by a troll
My twitter timeline:
🗑️Ad
🗑️Misc clickbait tweet 2 hops away
🗑️Misc tweet someone replied to
🗑️"Based on your likes"

Ok, giving mastodon a real try now
[email protected] if you want to find me there ☺️
Anyone know how to turn off this in #vscode?
It shows up every time I type space, giving me a useless list of the first operators to appear alphabetically I guess?
So 🐘[email protected] wrote this amazing poem for #UnisonLang #aoc advent of code:
Twas the month before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a programmer was coding, with their keyboard or mouse;
This README was bookmarked on Unison Share

Trying another #tw crossposter:

Same deal - auth to both, check some boxes.
💯 The comments on his tweet are telling, too. Trolls show up to make fun of him for leaving!

Tech community is migrating off Twitter. It's just getting easier: movetodon.org finds your follows who have Mastodon accounts.
You really won't miss this place.

Aside: kind of neat that I'm linking to a mastodon.social post as mirrored on my home server
Wow, this is just... sad. Twitter celebs are now dunking on folks leaving.
Nate's post... Elon's reply. The fact that Twitter's algorithm showed me this garbage in the first place when I didn't ask for it.
This kind of thing is why people are leaving in droves.
Thanks for the correction. I was looking at techcrunch.com/2022/11/07/bo… but I’m guessing that number isn’t counting all servers.
Mastodon accounts went from 1 million to 7 million in less than two weeks. Wow.
There’s a mass exodus happening. 238k new #Mastodon accounts in one day.

I started on a more interesting local simulator of `Remote` for #unisonlang ... universeodon.com/@pchiusano/…
