Do you still remember story points? Such a joke. Devs have hard time estimating schedules, so let’s use an imaginary unit that makes it even harder :)

I remember a company, doing almost the same exact thing, that got ripped apart because the parental controls were non-existent: adults could freely interact with minors. Apple just removed it from the AppStore, eventually.
I built an app where you write kind letters to strangers across the globe 💌 @DearlyLetters Available in English, Chinese, Japanese & Korean. Testflight 👇 testflight.apple.com/join/yb…

We are not at the point with Apple where: Apple: You are rejected for doing X. Do Y. Me: Ok, I am doing Y now. /// few months... Apple: You are rejected for doing Y. Please do X.

I am now more than 1 week waiting for a review. Multiple rejections for points addressed in the past.

One thing I would fix on Codex's iOS app: video attachments. I do substantial work via the phone. When asking for a video/gif (as proof of work) there are always shenanigans.

Today I saw yet another post making app development look like a one-prompt job. I use AI every day to build apps, and the tools are impressive. But getting a similar UI doesn’t mean you’ve recreated the app. Making the features work reliably still takes time, work and resources. What bothers me is the false hope these demos can create. It reminds me of the dropshipping and print-on-demand hype, with people spending a lot of money because someone made it all look easy. Before paying for a tool or a course, read some user experiences alongside the demos. I chose Vibecode as an example because it’s the one I’ve been seeing most often lately, but this goes well beyond one tool: trustpilot.com/review/vibeco…

The benchmark I actually care about: Can our parents live longer? Can we cure Alzheimer's? Can we kill common cancers? Can we prevent kids dying from rare diseases? Why so much effort to solve low impact math problems? If these unreleased models are so good, solve real problems
We’re releasing a broad range of new mathematical results produced by an internal frontier model. We’ve been consulting with the independent Advisory Group on Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute for Advanced Study, and we have drawn on their advice and public recommendations to inform how we release these results. github.com/openai/math

I see no issue on copying / vibecoding a clone. The effort comes after: maintenance, bug fixes, finding and replying to customers, new features.
This UI is fantastic. Couldn’t wait for it to be released so I made it myself. 1.5 prompts on @vibecodeapp

Yup… want the best? Go native. It’s as simple as that.
Another company is going Swift + Kotlin!
