Sources: Mississippi State star QB Kamario Taylor will miss the rest of the season, as he faces surgery on his injured toe. Taylor has an appointment today to get his toe checked out by a specialist and could have surgery as early as tomorrow. He’s expected to make a full recovery.

After last week's insanity and today's wildness, here are a few tidbits: - The 11 losses by AP Top 10 teams over the last three weeks are the most in any three-week span in AP poll history - This is the first time since 2007 that a top-two team has lost to an unranked opponent three weeks in a row - There are fewer than four undefeated teams left in college football this early in the season for the first time since 1977 (three undefeated teams lost in Week 8 and three remain)

Dabo’s done and should be. He burned the very last of his credibility today. Two weeks to prepare, and it looks the same or even worse. It’s been a steady slide since DJU. Their QB assessment ability ended with Trevor, and he covered over much coaching failure.
