You've avoided nearly all of my questions, Norah, because you're literally incapable of answering them. Your mind is firmly closed to any evidence or facts that undermine your preferred narrative. You consider it immoral for anyone to even question you, even though you voluntarily and confidently entered this discussion. You're like a flat-earther. Nothing I or anyone else says to you will permeate your stubborn quasi-religious beliefs, because to change your mind would take away a core part of your self image, which is as somebody who is kinder and better and more righteous than the nasty people still advocating for the safety of women and girls. You repeat your thought-terminating clichรฉs and unevidenced assertions, which I assume sound clever inside your echo chamber, but which, outside it, make you appear not only dim, but a total moral vacuum. Increased risk to females? Who cares. Women threatened by violence? Of course those poor trans-identified men lash out when they meet resistance! What is a gender identity? You can't really say, but like the flat-earther, you're sure it exists, because your tribe is held together by belief in it, and pride themselves on their blind faith in it. I keep waiting for a single gender ideologue or trans activist to truly engage with the facts, but all of you sheer away from them like horses from fireworks. It truly is like talking to cult members who're incapable of engaging in rational debate and just keep chanting the mantras, consigning all serious questions to the 'evil' bin. I've been told I'm on the wrong side of history thousands of times. By debating people like you, I've come to realise that your ilk's idea of the 'right side of history' means stripping women and girls' of their rights, excusing male violence against women, siding with those issuing death and rape threats and attempting to suppress critical thought and freedom of speech. Maybe, like the flat-earthers, you genuinely think history will vindicate you. I believe people will look back on this period and analyse your arguments, not because they admire them, but because they're trying to fathom how so many supposedly intelligent people fell, hook, line and sinker for a bunch of vacuous, post-modern, pseudo-intellectual cobblers, while being completely indifferent to the real world harm they were enabling.

BREAKING: HOLY SMOKES! Democrats now control enough states to effectively abolish the Electoral College through the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. Republicans did NOT have this on their bingo cards... Under the Constitution, states control their electoral votes and are allowed to decide how they are allocated during presidential elections. Currently, almost every state gives its votes to whoever wins the state. In practice, the current system means that a candidate can win the national popular vote, but lose the election because small states like Wyoming exert undue influence on the outcome. That state has 3 electoral votes with a population of just 577,000 people. California has 54 electoral votes and a population of 39.5 million people. So a vote in Wyoming is essentially 3.8 times as valuable as one in California. Since 1992, Democrats have won the popular vote seven out of nine times. Under the NPV, states that join agree to give their electoral votes to whoever wins the national popular vote, not just their own state. So a state could go red on the map, but if the Democrat wins the national vote, they still get that state's votes. And vice versa of course. The crucial mechanism is that the compact doesn't trigger until the member states have a combined power of at least 270 electoral votes, the number needed to win the White House. So far, 18 states plus D.C. have joined, totaling 222 electoral votes. We only need 48 more. Now is the chance to pass this measure in every state possible. Democrats won both houses of the legislature in Wisconsin for the first time in 18 years (10 electoral votes). We won the Pennsylvania state Senate for the first time since 1993 (19 votes). We now have a trifecta in Michigan (15 votes). And we won the governorโ€™s race in Nevada (6 votes). 10 + 19 + 15 + 6 = 50. 222 + 50 = 272. And if we hold our lead in the Arizona Senate, that number could climb as high as 283, more than enough to trigger the compact. In addition to removing an imbalance in our system that favors Republicans, this novel approach would fundamentally change how candidates run their presidential campaigns. Currently, they are incentivized to ignore most of the country. If you live in a โ€œsafeโ€ state, red or blue, your vote for President is basically decided before you cast it. Campaigns spend their time and money in a handful of swing states while the rest of us watch from the sidelines. If the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is adopted, they'll have reason to hit every state because they're aiming to win the largest swath of the country as a whole, not just certain states. States have until July 20, 2028 to join the compact in time for the next presidential election. We can fix our democracy. The time is now. Please โค๏ธ and share if you support this idea!

I donโ€™t want to post the video. Youโ€™ve all seen it. But I do want to write a love letterโ€ฆ Dear everyone in Britain, ( even you illegals) Just so you understand. The poppy is for the boys who never got to grow old. For the boys who were still somebodyโ€™s baby, brother, uncle or father. More than 600,000 of them. It doesnโ€™t matter if you support war, hate your country, think you are a woman (even though you are a man). It doesnโ€™t matter which God you pray to, or if you pray to none at all. It doesnโ€™t matter who you vote for, what climate narrative you believe, or whether you believe Israel should exist or not! The poppy isnโ€™t for you! Itโ€™s for those who came before. Those who fought for your right to be weird, annoying or even foreign. The poppy is how we say thank you. Thank you for giving us time, peace and choice. And attempting to ban our poppy by declaring it politically divisive isnโ€™t a move towards freedom. It is an act of suppression. Understand that. The poppy is about love and loss. For you! So stick your rainbow flags and every other flag where the sun doesnโ€™t shine and just wear your poppy. Those boys did not die as symbols. They died for you! Did you know that poppies grew across the battlefields where so many fell? As though even the land refused to forget the blood once given to defend it. So the poppy is for them. For those who came before us and paid in youth, in hope, in breath, in blood, so that we might have the freedom to be arseholes. So that we might even have the freedom to fight over the ridiculous, the inconsequential and the insane. Revere it, celebrate it and wear it. The very least you can do is that. Best The ordinary people.

CBC quoted Lowanโ€™s speech right up to the line that reveals the ideologyโ€”and then stopped In their election-night write-up, CBC reported: โ€œWe may have a small caucus, but tonight we have inherited an enormous responsibility, and that is to hold a majority Conservative government to account.โ€ What she said next, according to the full transcript (and the video CBC itself posted):โ€œWe are the only party who is equipped to stand against the Conservatives and their existence.โ€ That is not โ€œholding a government to account.โ€ That is declaring the victorious partyโ€™s existence illegitimate. It is the language of elimination, not opposition If a BC Conservative candidate had said the NDP or Greens needed to be opposed โ€œand their existence,โ€ it would have led every newscast, every panel, and every CBC segment for days. Instead, the line was edited out of the written coverage while the surrounding sentences were used to portray her as a responsible voice of accountability This is not an oversight. CBC has the full speech on their website. They chose which sentences to quote and which to bury. Meanwhile, hosts and panels continue to treat the BC Conservatives as uniquely dangerous while soft-pedaling a 26-year-old party leader who just framed an entire partyโ€™s existence as the problem to be solved Age is not a shield. โ€œMovement buildingโ€ is not a euphemism that erases the actual words. Selective quotation that stops one sentence before the most revealing line is not journalismโ€”it is CBC narrative management The video is on CBCโ€™s own site. The transcript is public. The CBC omission is the story @brodiefenlon

Three years ago, Hamas terrorists were joined by hundreds of ordinary Gazans and invaded Israel with the sole intent of murdering, torturing, raping, humiliating, and forcibly abducting any Israeli or Jew they could find. Anyone suspected of being Jewish or Israeli, or even near them, was not spared. Over 1,200 men, women, children, and infants were murdered in cold blood. Women and girls were brutally and repeatedly raped before being murdered. Holocaust survivors, the elderly, infants, and babies were shown no mercy. Much of this was livestreamed in a 21st-century pogrom. The perpetrators were not ashamed and did not hide their atrocities, so there should be no doubt who did what to whom and who must be held to account. Hamas and the many ordinary Gazans who participated thought they would defeat Israel. Many of their allies around the world cheered them on. They were wrong. As they have done throughout millennia, the Jewish people once again came together and fought to defend themselves and their homeland. They made Hamas pay a steep price. Israel and its security forces acted proportionately in self-defense, a right and responsibility all nations share. Due to Hamasโ€™s use of human shields, many Gazans were injured and killed. Advance warnings by the Israeli Defense Force went unheeded. Every one of those deaths and injuries are the responsibility of Hamas and Hamas alone. Seeing so much of the world turn its back on Israel, Israelis, and the Jewish people has been the biggest and saddest shock of the past three years. But Israelis, Jews, and their friends will never be deterred. Standing with Israel and the Jewish people is never wrong. Those who think otherwise will always regret it. The people of Israel live.

Poor little russia. This is Howard Buffett, Warren Buffettโ€™s middle son. He is 71 years old. He dropped out of college three times. He drinks Dr Pepper and like his father, looks for a McDonaldโ€™s wherever he travels. Since the beginning of the war, his foundation has become the largest private donor to Ukraine: $1.4 billion. Over four years, he has personally visited Ukraine 27 times. In April 2022, he saw burned-out agricultural machinery all over Ukraine and called the president of John Deere: โ€œHow many combines are available in Europe?โ€ โ€œFifteen. All of them were supposed to go to Russia.โ€ โ€œIโ€™ll take them all. Ship them to Ukraine.โ€ Then came all the available New Holland equipment in Europe. Altogether, more than 100 tractors and combines have been provided to Ukrainian farmers. Free. He tested de-mining equipment on his farm in Illinois, detonating explosives beneath rollers. When someone asked if blowing up his own tractors to find a solution was worth it, Buffett replied: โ€œStop counting my tractors. If necessary, Iโ€™ll blow up a thousand of them.โ€ When he heard about the "Superhumans" project, the medical program to provide arms and legs for soldiers who have lost theirs, they asked if he'd be willing to kickstart the program with $1 million. Buffett asked how much was needed to build the entire center. โ€œ$14 million" was the answer. He replied: โ€œOkay. Build it.โ€ Today, his support for Superhumans has reached $77 million, and the center has treated almost 2,000 wounded soldiers and civilians who have lost limbs due to the war. But his largest area of spending is neither agricultural machinery nor prosthetics. It is food: 642 million meals. He has built, stocked and staffed mobile kitchens that go into areas where civilians, often very elderly, whose homes have been destroyed by Russian bombing. Real help from a person who has no personal motivation to profit from Ukraine. He simply chooses to help.

You can still kill a lot of people, but you cannot win. You can stop this imperial war of choice at any time. Don't endanger Europe and the world any further. Stop destroying Russia's future. Obviously tariffs arenโ€™t good for the economy. But wishing Canadians would just simmer down in response to threats to our sovereignty isnโ€™t just wearing economics-only blinders, itโ€™s hoping that which makes us a resilient liberal democracy would just be quiet. No. A ๐Ÿงต
A very positive development. Those suggesting tariff retaliation might be unwise have been on the receiving end of a lot of &*$% recently. In addition to likely being our best response, this move can also help take the temperature down within Canada.

Calling Israelโ€™s war โ€œgenocideโ€ because a column of NGOs typed the same two words is not analysis. It is the same trick eugenics used: get enough letterheads in a room and treat the pile as proof. Harvard taught eugenics. Carnegie and Rockefeller funded it. The Supreme Court blessed it. 30 states wrote it into law. Doctors called it public health. They sterilized the poor, the disabled, and anyone who failed their test. Oliver Wendell Holmes wrote, โ€œThree generations of imbeciles are enough.โ€ Carrie Buck was not an imbecile. She was poor. They defined โ€œunfit,โ€ measured the people they had already condemned, then cited the measurement. Garbage in. Policy out. A chorus is not a fact. French generals were sure Dreyfus was guilty. He was framed. Viennaโ€™s obstetricians were sure unwashed hands did not kill mothers. The mothers kept dying. Soviet academies were sure Lysenko had beaten Mendel. The harvests failed. The UN voted that Zionism was racism. The vote was real. The sentence was a lie. Textbooks were sure ulcers were stress. It was a bacterium. The State Department called Nazisโ€™ industrialized murder of the Jews of Europe a โ€œrumorโ€ while the pits were already full. Genocide is a legal word. It means intent to destroy a people as such. It does not mean civilian dead in a war against an enemy that hides in hospitals. It does not mean a list of logos used the same headline. Seoul, Mosul, Raqqa: same urban ruin, same civilian toll. The word showed up when the army was Jewish. Eugenics had the deans, the foundations, and the Court. It was still a fraud. Read the Convention. Count the intent. Ignore the pile.
