This morning I searched "genocide" on the BBC News app.
Not a single article on Gaza in the results shown below.
And if you think we're just talking about perceived @BBC bias towards Israel, consider this:
@KarishmaPatel99 – resigned over Gaza coverage, exposing serious editorial failures.
@bbounenni – BBC North Africa correspondent who resigned, citing his professional conscience.
111 BBC journalists – anonymously backed an open letter condemning the corporation's Gaza coverage and editorial decisions.
400+ media figures, including Miriam Margolyes, Alexei Sayle and Mike Leigh, demanded the removal of BBC board member Robbie Gibb over impartiality concerns.
Ramita Navai and @bendepear – publicly condemned the BBC for shelving Gaza: Doctors Under Attack, subsequently broadcast by Channel 4.
Akinola Davies Jr – had his words "Free Palestine" edited out of the BBC's BAFTA broadcast.
And in recent weeks, we've seen even more extraordinary examples.
@bbclaurak's hostile interrogation of @ZackPolanski over the Green Party's Zionism motion, repeatedly challenging his position while he attempted to bring the discussion back to the suffering of Palestinians.
@vicderbyshire interrupting @BernieSanders as he condemned Israel's extremist government, stepping in to remind him that Israel would deny being extremist.
It's fucking endless.
The BBC continues to suppress language that accurately describes Israel's actions, stifles critical commentary, and amplifies Israeli officials and pro-Israel commentators, while Palestinian voices are marginalised or silenced altogether.
Those defending Israel are given a microphone. Those challenging its actions face hostile interrogation.
At what point do we stop calling this perceived bias and start demanding serious institutional complicty in war crimes?
Who holds the BBC accountable when the institution tasked with scrutinising power is itself protecting it?

- "What will you do with (Palestinians who refuse to leave Gaza)?"
- "I'll kill them. I'll kill them. There isn't any other option. The child who will be born in Gaza tomorrow... will do an October 7 against your child"
Old-new MK Moshe Feiglin, Smotrich's No. 2, spews his usual exterminationist bile in an interview with former POW Rom Braslavski, who recently asked Ben Gvir to allow him to personally execute a Palestinian hostage.
Posted by Braslavski on October 17.
🧵Hitlerist ex-MK Moshe Feiglin - soon in the Knesset again.
Yesterday, prominent genocidal politician Moshe Feiglin, leader of the Zehut party, announced together with Bezalel Smotrich, of Religious Zionism, that the two parties will run on a joint list in the upcoming Israeli elections, with Feiglin as Smotrich's number two.
Two years ago, Feiglin said: "As Hitler, may his name be erased, once said: 'I cannot live in this world if there is one Jew left in it', we could not live in this land if even one such Islamo-Nazi remains in Gaza, and not before we return to Gaza and turn it into Hebrew Gaza"
This is a thread of tweets I posted about Moshe Feiglin in the past, with just a few of his endless exterminationist rants.

We are so close to hitting 100,000….

This is not an ‘error.’ This is a blatant lie, underpinning a repulsive racist narrative. This isn’t journalism. This is mendacious, racist propaganda.
Replying to @TheFP
CORRECTION: This post and opinion video states that Abdul El-Sayed gave his acceptance speech in Arabic. That’s not accurate. In fact, he said a few phrases in Arabic, but the majority of his speech was in English. The Free Press regrets the error.

She is a widow. Her little girl is shaking in her arms. The rain has filled their broken house and there is no roof left to keep the cold out. She holds her daughter the way only a mother can — as if her own body could be the shelter the world has taken from them.
This is winter in Gaza. Children freezing inside the ruins. Mothers with nothing left but the warmth of their arms.

🇫🇷 "I have two passions: the brass band and the revolution." A chant led by marching orchestras has become an anthem of France's protest movement.
In Paris on Thursday, several hundred musicians and singers from the Orchestre du Nouveau Monde led the march from Place de la République to Place de la Nation. The orchestra, founded about six years ago, has about 250 members, mostly students, young workers and amateurs, and uses classical music to campaign for social and climate justice. Conductor Étienne Jarrier marked the general strike day on Thursday and urged the movement to "block the country."
The orchestra has called for bands to form at protests nationwide under the slogan "Orchestras everywhere, silence nowhere." Organizers say 25 cities answered, including Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Strasbourg and Lille.
The chant's lyrics:
J'ai deux passions (I have two passions),
La fanfare, la révolution (The brass band, the revolution).
Vive les blocages, les sabotages (Long live the blockades, the sabotage),
Les ZAD et les manifs sauvages ! (The ZADs and the wildcat marches!)
J'ai deux passions (I have two passions),
La fanfare, la révolution (The brass band, the revolution),
Se soutenir, construire le rêve (Support each other, build the dream),
Que la terre entière se soulève ! (Let the whole world rise up!)

🚨 CATASTROPHIC SCENES IN GAZA RIGHT NOW.
Heavy rainfall is flooding displaced Palestinians’ tents, leaving families exposed to the harsh winter with no alternative shelter.
This is their fourth winter since Israel destroyed their homes and continues to block essential materials from entering Gaza.

This is a horrendous miscarriage of justice, indeed there was no attempt to be just.
This injunction should be lifted.

🇵🇸 Rapper Macklemore says nine major US arenas refused to host his Free Palestine benefit tour, including Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center, Kia Forum, Crypto(dot)com Arena and Chase Center.
He said venues offered him dates, but "once they found out these were benefit shows for Palestine, these dates were suddenly off the table."
"In over twenty years of touring, I've never experienced anything like this," Macklemore wrote on Instagram on Friday, adding that "a handful of billionaires can decide which causes are acceptable."
Madison Square Garden's explanation was that Macklemore, a four-time Grammy winner, is "not an arena-level act." His Free Palestine shows in Europe (London, Dublin, and Paris) already sold out three arenas.
He launched the tour after being dropped from Ed Sheeran's tour in September over pro-Palestine remarks at MetLife Stadium. "There will be more shows for Palestine," he wrote yesterday.

🚨HORRIBLE: This is how Palestinian families and their children in Gaza spent last night. Their worn-out tents were flooded, and they have nowhere else to go.
Israel destroyed their homes three years ago, and this has been their reality ever since the Israeli genocide began.
