One Republican operative offered this assessment: “I think JD is dead. It was trending that way before the election. I think he’s done, and he may not run. Rubio is hard to figure out. He’s done nothing, even behind the scenes with close friends and longtime staffers, to show any signs that he might run. He would beat JD easily. But I’m not sure he runs. This race is suddenly wide open, and Trump’s power to choose the nominee is significantly diminished.”
As election results sank in: "There was the beginning of a realization: If the blue wave was a broad-based voter repudiation of the Trump administration, should the next Republican presidential nominee be a member of the Trump administration? In other words, is the question that has animated the Republican race so far -- JD or Marco? -- no longer the key question of 2028?" washingtonexaminer.com/daily…

To say that this is a real struggle between the Groyper wing and the Vance wing is to completely misunderstand what's happening in a critical way. It's identical to saying there's a struggle in the Democrats for who comes out on top, AOC or the DSA. They're the same operation with two faces that pretend not to like each other in public. Vance is apparently the New Right's guy, but Vance is not really the guy. He's just the next vehicle, just like Trump was their last vehicle. They'll use him and dump him, and the Groypers are making sure everyone understands that and that he also has no choice. He is "the guy" for now to the New Right because of what he represents and what he has built. He's the next face of the New Right now that it's dumping Trump. Vance is still key in the short term because he built out a huge patronage network around himself that can fill all the halls of power with their people, plus some Groypers "by mistake" to keep them satisfied. He's the institutional face with huge money, huge support, huge power, huge connections, and tons of institutional power behind him, all of which has been promised big stuff in the interim time when he has power. Some of these guys will go down with Vance when he goes down because they're useful idiots, and some are using him as a stepping stone to the next stage just like they used Trump so far. The Groypers have to oppose him to keep him more radical than he's comfortable being and also so that his people (like at NatCon, American Moment, even Heritage, even Vance himself) can claim they're not Groypers or part of the plan the Groypers are running point for. This is a cover story and a radicalization strategy, not a real fight between factions. The DSA openly does this strategy on the Democrats, and the more radical Democrats are part of the theatrics and advance themselves and their causes by playing the game with them. The Groypers are exactly the same thing as the DSA. Vance = Obama or AOC, in this analogy, but the bigger plan is Groypers. Vance facilitates their rise and helps install their friendlies, who pretend they aren't, and "accidentally" some of them directly into the apparatus that becomes an unfixable problem later. But the Groypers are just a means to an end too. The real bigger plan is the shattering of the United States and overthrow of its Constitution by any means necessary, orchestrated by America's enemies, foreign and domestic. It's the obverse of the Soros strategy, as stated above. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed is a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood. Of course he opposes Egypt’s current government. He wants to overthrow it. It’s so crazy (but also not surprising at all) that Kristof doesn’t understand this.
.@AbdulElSayed makes the fundamental point that criticism of Israel's misconduct is not necessarily a swipe at Jews any more than criticism of Egypt's misconduct is is a swipe at Arabs. If you don't care for human rights for all, you don't actually care about human rights at all.

Just saw an ad from Rachel Maddow once again claiming that MSNOW reports the news “without fear or favor” while also promising that they want to appeal to a community that shares their values or some such. It’s like they can’t even hear themselves. Just own what you are.

The person most responsible, in my opinion, for everything that just happened is Tucker Carlson, and not just because of his propaganda show and elevating all these New Right weirdos into everything. Because of his relationships: Don Jr., JD Vance, and so many others. He's the node at the center of pulling down the President.

The subject came up. They claimed he was basically controlled by Romney. He had to point out that Romney attacked HIM and called him an authoritarian over his handling of COVID. Then he responded to someone else’s comment and said he voted for him but after Romney attacked him in hindsight he probably should have left it blank on his ballot. I CANNOT BELIEVE REPUBLICANS ARE UPSET ABOHT THIS!!!! He’s well within his rights to have this conversation without you all losing your minds over it.
Mitt Romney is not the problem. He isn’t necessarily the solution either, but he is not the problem. Trump is the problem. JD Vance is the problem. MAGA is the problem.

This dunce needs to be primaried out of office in 2030.
My dear friend Susie Wiles led a brilliant 2024 campaign and served as Chief of Staff with strength, grace, and unparalleled leadership. She is a titan who has my utmost respect and gratitude. Congratulations to Stephen Miller. He is a patriot who has been with President Trump since day one and will work tirelessly for the American people.

If you are an anti-Semite Tucker Qatarlson Stan, you are anti-America. We are a Judeo-Christian nation. Christians believe Jews are God’s chosen people. Christ was a Jew. Stop being a 🍆 .

An unquantifiable everyone online outside of or targeted by the New Right has encountered over the last two years (or more): A distinct drop in enthusiasm for the Republican Party because of its willingness to tolerate their sewer. That definitely impacted the midterms.

I cannot believe republicans are whining over his comments about MITT FREAKING ROMNEY!!!!! Good freaking grief. Thank you Bonchie for setting the record straight.
Replying to @KenGardner11
Romney attacked DeSantis and called him an authoritarian during COVID. That was the basis of his rebuke of Romney. You're going to have to give him *some* room to operate.

Republicans need to stop splitting the Libertarian vote. If everybody who voted for Dyson voted for me instead, I would’ve defeated the Democrat. 🤓
I am going to repeat the refrain I tell every Democrat and Republican who tries to blame third party candidates and voters when their candidate loses. If you want to earn our votes, run better candidates. You are not OWED our votes.

Translation. Amnesty is on the table before Trump leaves office.
I just had a brief phone call with President Trump and I asked him if he can work with newly empowered Democrats on Capitol Hill. He said, in part: “I can work with them on many things, many more things than people understand…. When I ran against Bernie Sanders, basically when he dropped out, almost all of his people joined me instead of Hillary. … We’re identical on trade.”

Alright y’all, I’m gonna drop a truth bomb on you right now. Some will agree and some will not but it is the truth. I voted straight republican to stop democrats plus I had some decent republicans to vote for BUT I think a bigger reason republicans lost is because they took pro-life out of our platform. They did. You can disagree but we got punished for it. Christians got mad and rightfully so. They punished the GOP and I am not mad at them. If we are going to be the party of life then the party needs to respect the pro-life platform! It’s the most important thing. Stop trying to appease the pro-choice crowd to bring them into the party. The last convention in 2024 was atrocious! We had porn stars speaking! They dropped the pro-life out of the platform and catered to people who don’t believe in the right to work. Yeah Trump won but at what cost?

Every single federal judicial vacancy needs to be filled in the lame duck session. The Senate should pull all-nighters for as long as it takes. Democrats wont confirm a single Trump judge once they take over.
