The OPM waalahs (an apt moniker for fund managers / MFDs / advisors / finfluencers / youtubers by Vivek Kaul) might have oversold the India story.
For someone like me who has bulk of his portfolio in India - this is worrying.
But like Akash, I also think it is a contrarian indicaror and there will be a turnaround.

Used Instinct to help manage my connections on LinkedIn and now my account is blocked.
Have verified by giving my passport.
Hope it gets resolved.
Never using it again.
Also, anyone here who works at Linkedin and can help?
SEBI has ordered Avadhut Sathe to refund ₹546 crore but revenue isn't profit. The academy collected ₹601 crore over a decade.
Even assuming a 25% profit margin, that's just ₹150 crore in profits.
How exactly is he supposed to return ₹546 crore?
I genuinely wonder how this will play out.
I keep reading about Instinct and have access as well.
Can someone please tell me what is it that I can actually do with it?
Every time you go outside India, you realise how the govt is scamming you into believing what is "normal".

Isn't it weird that he understands per capita when it comes to emissions but when it comes to economy, India becomes the 4th largest.
Epic! 👏👏
Piyush Goyal exposes Europe's Hypocrisy to their Faces🔥
EU lady: Climate change is a serious thing
Goyal: India supports 17% of world population, we have contributed less than 3% of cumulative CO₂ emissions.
Europe supports 3% population, but contributed 18% of CO₂ emissions.
Even now India's per capita contribution is less than 10% of EU.
"The Problem was caused by You"
This is New India, doesn't listen to west's bullshit anymore. Gives it back strongly 💪
The Diplomat is the kind of show that makes stupid people feel intelligent because they can follow conversations between stupid people pretending to be intelligent.
The article attacks a straw man.
Market efficiency never meant prices are always correct, bubbles cannot exist or that the beta must remain constant.
Identifying bubbles in hindsight is easy.
Identifying them in real time, consistently and profitably, is the difficult part.
What are the theories you have learnt about markets?
That markets are efficient with all information captured in market prices
That market must be allowed free play and are self correcting
What if all of it was WRONG?
That not only are markets inefficient they are inefficient in certain PREDICTABLE ways... That insight resulted in one of the biggest trading fortunes in the world
Here is why allowing markets free play, calculating Betas et al may actively mislead and sometimes lead to catastrophic consequences...and what needs to be done

It is baffling how small and mid caps are getting more money than large caps in India. Doesn't happen anywhere else.
The idea that small-mid caps ALWAYS do better than large caps has been pushed over the years by showing returns of top performaning funds.
Came across interesting data that Flipkart group has created nearly $2B in Esop wealth for employees in the last ten years. Kalyan Krishnamurthy, who is completing 10 years as CEO, doesn't often get enough credit for looking out for employees.
When people hide behind anonymous user names online, they are wearing the Ring of Gyges.
The lack of face-to-face accountability often brings out toxic, aggressive behavior (trolling) they would never display in public.
It is unfortunate that we lost Harish to it. He was barely 27.
Finance influencer Harish dies by suicide
- Harish had 1.4 million followers
- Father blames 'cyberbullying' by Youtuber, claims Youtuber Jason Samuel targeted his son
@srivatsavrohit shares more details.
Will be speaking at @thebitmela on 30th October in Jaipur.
