Current measurements show an absolute magnitude of 2.9 which makes it brighter, and potentially larger than Ceres. But further observations are needed across the spectrum to get a better handle on its properties. This will be another mini world on the edge of our solar system
Did we find a new dwarf planet?
@VRubinObs has revealed a new dwarf planet candidate that orbits our Sun beyond Pluto! And it may be among the largest and brightest objects discovered in this region of the Solar System: stanford.io/4exr85u
ALT This image shows the orbital pathway of newly discovered dwarf planet candidate 2026 ED138 (ED138), as observed by NSF–DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory. This image is a composite of multiple images captured by Rubin between 4 March and 11 July 2026 at intervals indicated by the teal circles. ED138 is visible at the center of each circle. ED138 was found by Rubin Operations team member and in-Kind contributor Matthew Holman (Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian), who contributes to improving Rubin's algorithms that search for distant moving objects in our Solar System. Its distance from the Sun places it beyond the orbit of Pluto, and initial analysis indicates that it may be among the largest and brightest bodies scientists have discovered in this region of the Solar System. Not 1 single enquiry. We don’t know why. So sorry Odin, we will keep trying for you.
This lovely lad hasn’t had any enquiries 😞 can you please share to help him on his way?
Odin is a beautiful 3 year old male Border Collie. He is available and looking for a new home.
Sadly due to the owners health , Odin needs someone who can provide him the stimulation and attention he needs. He is very much loved but would be best in a home with someone who can give him lots of walks and attention.
He is chipped and neutered and healthy with no concerns.
Odin can be wary of strangers to begin with and would need a little time to get use to anyone new.
He is okay with some pets and can be wary of others - due to this, he’d be best in a home with no other pets to save him any unsettlement.
Odin eats dry and wet food and is also crate trained.
He loves toys and can be strong on the lead.
Odin has had the same owner since being a pup.
He isn’t a fan of the hoover but does love to play with a ball.
He is more of a fan of women than men, so may be best with a lone female looking for company, although we will consider male households too.
Odin is very loving and affectionate. No cats.
For more information or to offer Odin a new home please email directly to [email protected]

Baxter is a male black cat, aged around 4-5 years old. He is looking for a new home as sadly he was left behind when his owner was evicted.
He has been looked after since by a cat charity and their friends, however as the colder months are now here, he would need a cosy warm home to call his own.
He is very friendly and stays close to his female carer. He will also eat anything, not fussy.
We have very limited information on Baxter due to the circumstances of his life.
He would make a great companion pet for someone who is on their own, no other pets or young kids - older children 9+ would be okay.
For more information or to offer Baxter a new home please email [email protected]

Across from Luskentyre on Harris, in the Outer Hebrides. Pink clouds over the hills, turquoise water and miles of white sand. It's one of my favourite places to photograph anywhere.
Would you believe this is the UK?

A stunning autumn day on Saturday walking over the 5 #Munros of the Lochnagar circuit. The cold cut like a knife first thing. By early afternoon there were pleasant temps in sheltered spots. This is always a great walk.

We're assisting the family of CJ to help him find a new home after his owner sadly passed away.
CJ is a 6.5 year old Lab cross Husky, he is very friendly, although slightly confused at the moment as he is missing his female owner.
CJ is house trained and walks well on the lead. He is neutered and registered with a vets.
We don't have a lot of information sadly.
He is eating dry food.
CJ is a calm dog. He hasn't lived with other animals,
When he has been out and about for walks he hasn't had any issues with other pets or children.
As we don't know how he is with young kids, we'd suggest a home with older kids of a teenage age instead.
To offer CJ a new home please email [email protected]
