How was and is it possible to feed cities and their populations?

Another discussion organised by ReSEED at the National Library of Portugal. It could have been the last, but it wasn't: the project has been extended until October 2024. An extra year to finalise the research & deliver more results from this amazing interdisciplinary journey!
We've shared various moments of the last five years with you. Our presence on social media will be reduced in this final stretch, but we will let you know about the main events and outputs. There's more to come from ReSEED! @uc_iii @UnivdeCoimbra @ERC_Research
4 years of Seeding Ideas blog! This interdisciplinary journey allowed us to interact with amazing authors from different sciences! To conclude, PI @MDulceFreire reviews the project's challenges while "looking for words to open the black box". Here: reseed.uc.pt/index.php/2023/…
Who wants to experience the work of a historian? We will explain how to read documents from the 17th/18th centuries with the help of palaeographic techniques. Come to the European Researchers’ Night next Friday! Find us at Empório do Tuca, downtown Coimbra. @uc_iii @UnivdeCoimbra
Third #RuralHistoryConference for ReSEED! We brought part of the project's crew for Cluj-Napoca, and also met colleagues who crossed our research path in different moments of this almost 5-year journey, as collaborators, members of the team or just good partners for discussions!
We thank the coordinators of this year’s edition, @UnivBabesBolyai & Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography. The next one, in Sep 2025, will be closer than ever: in the @UnivdeCoimbra! See you before it , but save the date. This will be a special one 😊#EURHO @uc_iii
Criticising the current model of food production leads to reflection on the contributions of various areas of knowledge to the search for solutions. It was discussed at the round table & addressed by keynote speaker Peter Rosset. But the IV International Congress goes further!
There are dozens of other subjects in the parallel sessions, in the conversations during breaks, and in the guided tours. It's coming to an end, but because it took place in "our home" @UnivdeCoimbra, and for diverse reasons, this is an unforgettable event for the ReSEED team.
