The accused in Kolkata Doctor Rape case went to get a good sleep inside police barracks after torturing her in the most heinous ways. No fear of law, punishment.
College principal Sandip Ghosh first said that the girl shouldn’t have gone to seminar hall where she was brutally raped. He later resigned only to become the principal of another college in less than 8 hours. #dirtypolitics
Ideally, Enforcement of law is such that the people think hard before committing a crime.
In this era we have stopped seeing such enforcement, only corruption and politics at the cost of human lives.
And now, we have become so shameful that nothing is being done despite public outrage and protests. The new strategy is to wait it out, people have bills and taxes to pay and therefore they’ll soon forget about this and move on.
Our humanity is dying one incident at a time.

[2] Control businesses.
[3] Control narratives.
In the old days, distribution was via news, media etc. Gatekeepers decided who gets to distribute. This had a top down control.
But innovation happened & mediums like Twitter, YT, etc gave voice to anyone. This became a bottom-up system.
If you could add value to your community, you would grow. Many would like it, some won't.
Influencers slowly started to take away business from established media houses.
Now the talks are: influencers are bad.
Because they are not regulated.
So ban them from talking about XYZ (you plug the topic).
If we do this, we again go back to the same loop: control media, control business, control narratives.
With fewer voices to speak. There will be less dissent. With less dissent, it is easy to indoctrinate a generation & kill rational thinking (whatever is left).
