Learning to love yourself without an audience is, at first, very painful.
The muscle to seek applause from outside is so strong and tries to hijack a beautifully intimate relationship that is for you and only you, and it requires a love you’ve never had before.

Grief requires us to be okay with not having solutions. It wants us to be present with the pain and many ppl are uncomfortable with holding the messiness.

Unfortunately the adults are not ok, so the children are not ok. The adults don’t value kindness, so the children don’t value kindness. Every bully I’ve seen over the years has a mean ass parent. Schools/teachers have limited options when dealing with bullies.

The increase in public aggression and disdain for children is not normal nor is it random
It is fascism teaching us to kill our future in our hearts and minds
Once you accept that even children can be discarded, there is no human you won’t discard

“Of course I'll hurt you. Of course you will hurt me. Of course we will hurt each other. But this is the very condition of existence. To become spring, means accepting the risk of winter. To become presence, means accepting the risk of absence”

When I worked in a pediatric hospital for inpatient behavioral health, I had many patients who were young girls and teens who had been sex trafficked by their own parents, who thought that since they birthed the girls they could determine how the girls were touched.

The kids are xenophobic, they’re anti-Black, they’re misogynistic, transphobic, ableist
The kids are us, I’m sorry
They direct the violence where they see us direct the violence
They’re in incredible pain and they don’t know what to do

there are elders in my bones whom i have never met. their prayers are tucked and hidden beneath my skin. their courage is threaded through my hair. i walk into the world thinking i am alone, until i remember who walks with me.

I love when the people get fed the fuck up and get active. That’s that autumn air I remember vividly, and every single autumn I think about revolution

if love is the highest frequency, it should have actioned greater transformation already. anything mainstreamly said is usually imprecise. i think "authenticity" (acknowledging the limitations of the word) is the higher frequency.
the i am that i am is not "love"; it Is.
