Lots of new people following me, so… Hi! I’m an independent women’s basketball journalist, proudly Brazilian, who has been covering the league for about 15 years. Currently, you can find my work on Forbes, @BlackRosieMedia and Beta Basket. I took the offseason to rest for personal reasons and will slow down on writing this season for the same reasons, but I will be very active on multimedia platforms. You can also find me on local TV in Seattle as a guest in shows.

Yesterday, Brazil showed the world that the will of the people is stronger than the authoritarians who try to suppress it. Congratulations President @LulaOficial and congratulations Brazil.

Brazil reminded the world that when people stand in solidarity with one another, we can beat fascism & authoritarianism anywhere.
Congrats to President Lula & the Brazilian people on this monumental victory.
The Trump Administration must respect the results & Brazilian autonomy.

If you ever wonder why us Brazilians are the way we are (myself included)… please appreciate our First Lady with a resounding “fuck you Elon Musk” in full English and unafraid ✋😛🤚

Zohran Mamdani on Brazil:
Yesterday, when I was coming home, we had just gotten off the bridge, and a number of New Yorkers streamed out of a bar, and they were just chanting Lula's name.
I think it is an indication of the fact that New Yorkers are excited.
I congratulate the president. And I think that it is a sign that the people united will never be defeated.

Congratulations to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on his reelection victory in Brazil.
Despite Big Tech oligarchs and Trump tilting the playing field against him, Lula prevailed.
He will continue to fight for Brazilian workers and democracy over the next four years.
I can’t believe Brazil is setting the precedent for a new type of democracy in the world. Go out and vote. Be active. Be aggressive. Face the opposition with your head high. Voting alone won’t make a difference. Politics happens every day. I’ve never been prouder to be Brazilian.
