This is my 5th year going to a lot of Magic games (3rd as a full STH), let’s look at their results in these games (all at Kia Center)
22-23’: 8-4 (started 1-3 due to injuries)
23-24’: 11-3 (2-0 in playoffs)
24-25’: 14-8 (2-1 in playoffs)
25-26’: 13-8 (3-1 in playoffs)
26-27’: 0-4
Ironically, they won the most when they had the least amount of talent, even when dealing with injuries
Undeniable facts
- Celtics were 9-2 without JB in the lineup last year… 6-1 before Tatum’s return
- Celtics were 55-18 (!!) with Brown OUT of the lineup over the last 5 seasons
- Celtics had a better net rating with Brown on the bench… for a 3rd straight regular season, and 3rd time in last 4 postseasons
- Jaylen Brown finished last year’s lone playoff series with more turnovers than assists for a staggering 8th time in his career (how is that even possible for a star guard/wing)
