you're graph engineering? lol, you're cooked. I'm hypergraph engineering. nah, that's too normie. I'm ubergraph engineering. the hypergraphers could never understand my genius. actually, ubergraphs are so last week. I'm high-dimensional topology engineering. if your agent workflows aren't on a calabi-yau manifold, you're doomed for the permanent underclass

greptile wants to validate every piece of software on the planet as more code gets written by ai, the first review pass needs to be independent + fast. greptile’s v5 agent spins up sub-agents on every pr, pairing open + frontier models so one model’s blind spots don’t decide what gets caught together ai powers part of the inference behind those open models, helping reviews come back faster and at lower cost watch how @greptile does it

when i joined at the beginning of 2026, i could not have predicted how much i'd come to love this team and this company. i also could not have predicted just how fast we would grow. yet somehow, we are still so early. many more surprises in the pipeline. stay tuned :)
Greptile has raised a $50M Series B led by Menlo Ventures. The round values the company at $750M. Greptile reviews and tests more than 1% of all PRs opened on GitHub every day. Thousands of engineering teams including Nvidia, Coinbase, Decagon, and Vanta use Greptile as their independent and central validation layer. Fewer than 50 people, we are a small, talent-dense team of engineers and researchers in a quiet corner of San Francisco. If you’re interested in joining us, we’d love to hear from you.

We're getting the blackboard out again on November 4th. Here's who's teaching this time: @aidenybai on how React actually works, rebuilt from scratch @ficus on what microwaves, breakers, and Android permissions have in common @rohankumar on why quantum computing has been “ten years away” for decades Doors open at 6:30pm. Drinking in class is encouraged.

as humanity relies more on software, each bug does more damage. plus and apex fight this by finding the hardest bugs in your most important code.
Today we’re releasing new Greptile review tiers: Plus and Apex. Higher tiers have more tools and subagents, can run tasks in parallel, better understand the PR, and catch more bugs. - Base: Thorough code review with full codebase context. - Plus: A deeper review for PRs that need extra scrutiny. - Apex: Our most intensive review for large, complex PRs.

We ship an ungodly amount of code at @octolane, and we do it without letting quality, craft, or usability slip. To hold that line, I've built a set of 350+ code review rules (and I'm still adding more). I want to give credit where it's due: @greptile has been incredibly helpful on that journey for every engineer on our team. Full disclosure, we were in the same YC W24 batch, so I might sound biased but I've personally tried every code review tool out there. On any given day I'm testing a dozen tools as I learn and build for Octolane, and nothing comes close to Greptile at catching the tiniest details everything else misses + self-improving memory

Insane lineup
We're starting a lecture series at The Interval called Blackboard Lectures on Tap. Developers, founders, and researchers can share what they’re working on, thinking about, or know way too much about. First edition tomorrow, Sept 22, 6:30pm with: @fat: Reinventing the wheel and the capacity for work @hahnbeelee: Rebuilding docs infrastructure to a 100% cache hit rate James Wu: Scaling agentic workloads on Kubernetes with MicroVMs Come learn something, ask questions, stay for drinks.

they did it. they invented thinking fast and slow from classic scifi novel "thinking fast and slow"
Jev + Astra beats the Ender Dragon in Minecraft in 8 minutes 43 seconds! ⏱️ Cost less than $1 ($0.01 Jev, $0.96 Astra) I open sourced the code and explain the harness setup below. This type of movement is only possible with Jev's near instant decisionmaking, and some continually learning skills from Astra.

kind of crazy that j cole teased "the fall off" with a clip of andrew wiles talking about fermats last theorem. 7 months later all of math is solved the fall off is inevitable

an ex of mine was obsessed with torturing fruit flies. on our dates, all she'd talk about is how she went into the lab and genetically disabled another generation of these poor creatures. this put me off enough that I eventually broke up with her. maybe she was ahead of her time
I gave the fly brain $100 to trade bitcoin. Dopamine neurons are stimulated when the fly makes profit. Neuron activity controls buy/sell decisions and makes trades on coinbase. Will the fly get rich?

you can just merge things (with a greptile 5/5)
After trying Bugbot, Graphite, Code Rabbit, Codex, and a few others, I think @greptile is officially my fav AI code review product (for now). The quality of Greptile reviews is extremely high. It's extremely rare that Greptile lets a bug or regression slip through. At @sazabi, we've developed a deep respect for the "Greptile 5/5". Nice work @dakshgup and team!

the war on ux issues that we have a fix for
Replying to @bcherny @dedene
Update: this was not a bug, but it is a ux issue that we have a fix for. Going out in a bit.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
