I got to know @DavidBowieReal a little. The man who changed my life on the 15th June 1972. David recorded a msg for the last R1 show @themarkrad & I did. So honoured. Imagine then finding out his script for it is in the V+A. 💥 Thanks @julianstockton

So sad to read this. 60ft Dolls were such a big part of my youth & mid 90s fanzine world in general and Carl was a fantastic drummer. R.I.P.
Tributes have poured in following the announcement of the death of celebrated drummer and artist, Carl Bevan

Can’t think of a better Thursday night out than a @Manics & @suedeHQ double bill @Yourallypally. Essential bands with glorious, timeless songs.
A wonderful evening with @huwstephens & @simon_price01 discussing Wales in 100 songs. Diolch @e17RnR_books 🏴
Love this album so much.
Wow is all. Faded Seaside Glamour is 20 years old today...
This isn't a sad post, this is pure seratonin and oxytocin held high to the memories we made.
Here's to you all for carrying us with you on your own journeys. To the arms outstretched and strobe lit hand claps... To the midnight tinnitus cadence after all is said and done and the city lights fall adrift.
We were so lucky, and there's so much to look forward to yet I promise... Deep breaths now, summer's on the way x

Excited to announce that @TheRestHistory is now available on @Spotify sorted into playlists
Loved @alisongoldfrapp @RoundhouseLDN last night - keytars, dancers and a whole load of bangers from her career. Superb.
For anyone who’s played with @spotify’s AI DJ - or has an interest in how voice AI and radio can play nicely together - this is a really interesting listen on how the product was created. spotify.link/HH0Nchh7uHb
I first met @annadoble in the late 90s and within 5 minutes we were arguing about the merits of the Manics back catalogue…. I can’t wait to read her memoir and the soundtrack will be impeccable.
***NEW***
Growing up, musical epiphanies, sexual awakenings in Asda….a beautiful memoir by the incredible new author @annadoble
‘Connection Is A Song: Coming Up and Coming Out Through the Music of the 90s’ will make your heart burst

This is a particularly cracking week of @TheRestHistory shows. spotify.link/0IhJZRUbgHb
Morning. A sensational week for @TheRestHistory listeners - with FOUR episodes on BRITAIN IN 1974.
Today: A STATE OF EMERGENCY.
The premiership of Ted Heath. Surging inflation. An oil shock, a miners' strike and a three-day-week. What's gone wrong?

Steve Wright was the beating heart of mainstream radio in the UK - a total master of his craft who lived and breathed the medium. This is very sad news - sending love to all my former colleagues at Radio 2.
