A striking trade figure in the Pakistan’s new paper “Dawn”: Pakistan’s imports recorded from India rose 68.9% to $61.74 million in July–September 2026, while Pakistan recorded no exports to India. This raises questions. If direct trade is suspended, what route are these goods taking—and how are their country of origin and source being recorded? Could some be reaching Pakistan through third countries? The figures alone do not establish that, but they deserve clarification. They also point to continuing demand for Indian goods in Pakistan. If that demand is significant, shouldn’t Islamabad consider what it would take to restore normal relations—including credible action on terrorism and the alleged use of Pakistani soil by terrorist groups? Here, pertinent to mention that at the @ndtv World Summit, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said India wants normal relations with its neighbours, including Pakistan, but not at the cost of terrorism. Trade data can reveal an economic reality that politics often tries to keep out of view. Pakistan’s 2025 trade restrictions covered specified Indian-origin goods and third-country transit routes.

The @INCIndia faces an uncomfortable moment just as @kcvenugopalmp begins his Punjab visit. Senior Congress leader and businessman Raminder Awla has joined the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) @Akali_Dal_ . Local observers see the move as a potential boost for the Akalis in Jalalabad, Sukhbir Singh Badal’s constituency, and say the “Awla factor” could have repercussions in other Malwa seats as well. Reports link his departure to discontent over local leadership decisions in the Guru Harsahai area, including the elevation of another Congress leader despite Awla’s objections. If so, a local grievance has now become a wider warning for the Congress. Some experts also believe Awla’s entry could add to the appeal of a possible BJP–SAD alliance.

⛔️After two Punjab Assembly elections fought partly in the name of eliminating drugs, why is Punjab still discussing the same issue in 2027 - and what will any party do differently this time ❓ Who is responsible⁉️ CORE ISSUE DURING ELECTION IN PAST- 2017: “Udta Punjab” - drugs became a symbol of anger against the establishment. 2022: “Badlav” - Punjab voted for wholesale political change on the drug issue alone. 2027: “Nasha-mukt Punjab?” - drugs are back at the centre, but this time every major party carries a record that can be questioned.

There is a Punjabi saying: "Kaka jammiya nahi, nakk naankeyan tay gaya"...It fits Punjab’s political scene right now. The political calculations have begun before SAD-BJP alliance has been confirmed.
